ES|| Es tiempo de helados!! 🍦☀️ Yo, como no puedo comérmelos, los dibujo bien cuquis con sus pestañas largas. A decir verdad, he hecho una pandilla entera de heladitos de colores que, a pesar del calor que hace, aguantan monísimos siempre con una sonrisa en la cara. La pandilla “Helados felices” está formada por: Cream, Choco-mint, Scoops, Sprinkles, RoseBerry y Wavy. Este de aquí es “Wavy” un helado de crema de vainilla con virutas de colores, dos barquillos y un cono de galleta con sabor vainilla decorada con corazoncitos. A pesar de su aspecto, Wavy tiene un carácter tranquilo y siempre está disponible a escuchar los problemas de los otros y aconsejarlos lo mejor que sus habilidades le permitan. Es ideal saborearlo para tomarse un respiro o en un momento de llorera incontrolada.🤍

EN|| It’s ice cream season!!🍦☀️ Since I can't eat them, I draw very cute ice creams with their long eyelashes. To tell you the truth, I’ve made a whole crew of colourful fun ice creams that, despite the heat, don’t melt, instead they hold up with a smile on their face. The “Happy Ice Cream” gang is made up of: Cream, Choco-mint, Scoops, Sprinkles, RoseBerry and Wavy. This one is “Wavy,” a heart decorated vanilla cone with a vanilla flavoured wavy ice cream, sprinkles and two biscuits. Despite his appearance, Wavy has a calm demeanour and is always available to listen to other people’s problems and advise them to the best of her abilities. It’s ideal to savour it while taking a break or in a moment of uncontrolled crying.🤍

El retrato de Bru, un pequeño y adorable podenco que vive en Barcelona y le encanta pasear con su dueña. EN|| Sometimes I do pet portraits. This is a commission I did some time ago for a surprise birthday present, a portrait of Bru a little adorable podenco who lives in Barcelona and loves to walk with his owner. Flooded heart || corazón inundado || cor innundat (2018)

ESP || Pequeño video de la evolución del "corazón inundado". Lo que más me gusta de esta ilustración es todos los significados que tiene. Me encanta como a cada persona le transmite una cosa completamente diferente. La verdad es que esta ilustración la cree en un muy mal momento de mi vida donde sentía que me ahogaba en mis propios pensamientos, sentimientos y emociones. Al intentar plasmar todos mis sentimientos en una ilustración supongo que me quise decir a mi misma que en cambio de ahogarme tenía que explorar todo lo que sentía, nadar y bucear en ellos sin rendirme y sin dejarme llevar por la corriente que intentaba ahogarme. Ahora miro este corazón lleno de submarinistas y veo belleza y fuerza. A vosotros que os transmite? 🌊💙

ENG || Small video of the evolution of the "flooded heart". What I like most about this illustration is all the meanings it has. I love how each person sees a completely different thing. The truth is that I created this illustration r in a very bad moment of my life where I felt that I was drowning in my own feelings and emotions. When trying to capture all my feelings in an illustration I guess I wanted to tell to myself that instead of drowning I had to explore everything I felt, swim and dive into them without surrendering and without being carried away by the current that tried to drown me. Now I look at this heart full of divers and I see beauty and strength. What does this illustration say to you? 🌊💙

EN|| Sharks are one of the most endangered animals on planet Earth, it’s estimated that in the last 50 years their population has been reduced by 70%. There’re 17 different species of shark in danger of extinction, like this one in the illustration, the Carcharias Taurus. This problem is especially significant in the Atlantic where fishing fleets can deploy 1,200 km of fishing lines with 28,000 hooks where all kinds of animals are trapped, especially sharks. Furthermore there’s also the indiscriminate fishing of the babys, which, taking into account that most shark species are characterized by having a low reproductive rate, a slow growth rate and late sexual maturation, makes it impossible for sharks to overcome their population decline, making them very susceptible to overfishing. On the other hand, climate change also affects sharks, the water temperature is increasing, the oxygen content of the water is decreasing, especially in coastal areas, and the waters are becoming more acidic. One of the main reasons why protection measures have not been put in place for these species is because the shark meat market has many economic interests, since it’s used for cosmetics, nutrition products and food. Sharks, due to their importance in the food chain, play a fundamental role in the sustainability of marine life and in the ability of these ecosystems to mitigate and adapt to climate change. ES|| Los tiburones son uno de los animales más amenazados del planeta Tierra, se calcula que en los últimos 50 años su población se ha reducido un 70%. Hay 17 especies distintas de tiburón en peligro de extinción, como este de la ilustración, el Carcharias Taurus, también llamado tiburón Toro o “Solraig clapejat” en catalán. Este problema es especialmente significativo en el Atlántico donde la flotas pesqueras pueden llegar a desplegar 1.200 km de líneas de pesca con 28.000 anzuelos donde quedan atrapados todo tipo de animales, sobretodo tiburones. A todo esto se le añade la pesca indiscriminada de crías, que teniendo en cuenta que la mayoría de especies de tiburón se caracterizan por tener una baja reproductividad, una tasa de crecimiento lenta y una maduración sexual tardía, hace imposible que los tiburones se sobrepongan al declive de su población haciéndolos muy susceptibles a la sobrepesca. Por otro lado el cambio climático también afecta a los tiburones, la temperatura del agua esta aumentando, el contenido de oxigeno del agua esta disminuyendo sobretodo en las zonas costeras y las aguas se están acidificando. Uno de los principales motivos por los que no se han creado medidas de protección para estas especies es porque el mercado de la carne de tiburón mueve muchos intereses económicos, ya que se usa para cosméticos, productos de nutrición y para alimentación. Los tiburones, debido a su importancia en la cadena trófica, tienen un papel fundamental en la sostenibilidad de la vida marina y en la capacidad de estos ecosistemas para mitigar y adaptarse al cambio climático. EN|| Hi! Perhaps this little frog looks familiar to you, I made a very similar one in a square format more than a year ago (Wow! Time flies, it almost seems like it was yesterday when I had to put on the headlamp to paint it, because the electricity had gone out). This one, unlike the one from a year ago, is in a vertical format, has more little characters and, together with the snail, the fish and a toucan (which I haven't shown you yet), they’ll be on @gallerynucleus collective exhibition "Power in number 7 ”, opening on September 3rd in Alhambra CA. The entire postcard, like the others, is 5”x7” and is made with watercolors, gouache, polychromos, neocolors and watercolor pencils Remember the exhibition will debut in person only and is “cash and carry”, meaning once someone buys a piece, the buyer takes it home instead of remaining on display. Quizás os suene un poco esta ranita, hice una muy parecida en formato cuadrado hará más de un año (Uau! El tiempo pasa volando, casi parece que fuera ayer cuando me tuve que poner el frontal, porque se había ido la luz, para poderla pintar). Esta, a diferencia de la de hace un año, es en formato vertical, tiene más personajillos y, junto al caracol, los peces y a un tucán, estarán en la exposición colectiva de “Power in number 7” de @gallerynucleus que se inaugura el 3 de septiembre en Alhambra CA. La postal entera, como las demás, hace 5”x 7” y esta hecha con acuarelas, gouache, polychromos y neocolors. Recordad que la exposición debutará solo en persona y es “cash and carry”.
