Hi everyone I have a YT channel about fashion illustration please watch it and I hope you like it đąđťđ˝
https://youtu.be/h8xzSNr_nEs
ok so i go back to school v soon (august 7th to be exact) and here are some of my tips that i use to help prepare myself for going back to school.
start your routine. now. at least a week before your first day of school, get into your routine. get up when youâre supposed to and go to bed when you should (11 for me at the latest). as for the âschool day,â busy yourself with reading, playing video games, working, the like. but try to get home when you would from school and kinda pretend like youâre back in school and âdo homeworkâ or workout or whatever you would do when you get home. starting that routine now will make it soooo much easier when the school year actually starts
figure out how much sleep you need to function and fix your sleep schedule. do i have to explain this one??? just donât stay up until 2am the night before youâre first day of school because youâll be screwed for the rest of the year :)
get your supplies. ok this one is a given. whether youâre paperless or not, get at least a folder to keep stray papers. i would also recommend having a separate folder just for lined paper bc you never know when you need it and idk about you but i hate ripping papers out of notebooks
get new clothes. you donât necessarily ~have~ to do this one but itâs nice to have a semi-new wardrobe before you head back to school. when i wear something new, i feel more confident and iâm more excited for the day so it kinda makes me excited to go to school.Â
pick out your outfits for the first week. this relates to getting new clothes. i like doing this (every week) because itâs one less thing i have to do/think about in the morning. plus it should make you excited for going to school because you get to wear your (hopefully) new clothes.
get your food!! i bring my lunch to school every day (yup, 180 days a year times 12) so before that first day rolls around, get some food for your lunch! whether that be a nice drink, some snacks, a fancy salad, or the like, just get it because it will also make you more excited for school
whiten your teeth. gotta have those nice pearly whites when school starts to show every how you glowed up over the summer
speaking of glowing upâŚskincare!!!! having clear skin makes everyone so much more confident so make that first day so much better by having clear skin. you wonât feel nearly as self-conscious and youâll actually (maybe) enjoy the day.Â
set out everything the night before. again, makes your mornings *that* much easier/better so you wonât be running late
have a positive attitude. yes itâs school and no one really likes going back to school but try to have a positive attitude about it. youâre one year closer to graduating, itâs a fresh start, you get to meet new friends, (hopefully) youâre taking classes you enjoy, and youâre getting back into a routine. yes school can be very stressful but hopefully, if you follow some of the tips above, it wonât be as stressful as it could be.Â
best of luck everyone. iâm rooting for you :)

⢠clean ya room (just do it). also, check those pinterest boards you save for âone dayâ and actually go through them and draw some inspiration, even if you just end up rearranging the books on your bookshelf or putting some flowers from your garden in a mason jar on your desk. this is your home, make it feel like it is.
⢠do your laundry (also, donât forget your bed sheets). if youâre in the mood, look at next weekâs weather forecast and think about what youâre going to wear. go through your drawers, check the back of your closet. that hat you bought some time ago and forgot about because you didnât dare to wear it? well⌠new week, new you, right?Â
⢠call a friend/family member you havenât talked to in a while, tell them you miss them. tell them you love them. remember and appreciate that they are a part of your life even if it doesnât feel like it all the time.
⢠draw, paint, journal, write or make some music. something you know you love doing but ânever find the timeâ. sunday is âfinding-the-time dayâ. if youâre not feeling creative, read a book or watch your favorite show. or watch a new show. a scary show. a funny show. laugh as loud as you want. listen to music. listen to your favorite songs, or listen to new songs. even a new genre if you dare. turn the volume all the way up. take a second to consciously feel the music. you can always get up and dance. or sing. or both.
⢠the great, but still really effective classic: take a bath or a really long shower. if you have this special face or hair mask youâre saving up for a special occasion: congrats, youâre the special occasion today. use it. also, body lotion. we all know youâre going to be running late during the week and skip it one too many times. make yourself feel like the goddess you are.Â
⢠sit in silence for a few moments. listen to your breath. listen to your heartbeat. for the love of god PLEASE listen to your thoughts for once in your life. donât make them feel like they are wrong. or bothersome. they too just want to be heard once in a while. what are they trying to tell you? what could be soothing for them? be compassionate to yourself. itâs okay. you are okay. you are okay.
⢠think about things you can be grateful for next week. even if you feel like your life sucks atm, think about the small things you take for granted in a different way. for example: ânext week, i will have access to clean water. CLEAN. WATER. 844 million people donât have that.â or ânext week, my legs will take me wherever i want to go. not everybody has two fully functioning legs, so iâm lucky in that way.â youâre allowed to feel bad about your life, but youâre also allowed to feel good about things.Â
⢠if youâve stayed home most of the week, go out. go for a walk. go swimming. go to a party or dinner with friends. even if you feel like you donât need to see the outside world, chances are youâll feel great after you do. if you feel like youâve been running around all week, maybe youâd like to stay home today. put on your ugliest sweater, comfiest leggings, and fluffiest socks and curl up under a thousand blankets. you a sloth today and itâs okay.Â
⢠eat. i mean honestly: eat THE THING. i donât care if youâre on a diet. if thereâs something youâve been craving all week that has turned you into the veiny-neck-dude meme just trying to resist it: EAT IT. you deserve it. not because you worked out or ate salads or did well in school, but just because youâre a human and you love to eat and life is short and you should be allowed to eat yummy things. itâs okay. you wonât gain 5 pounds or lose your brain cells no matter how unhealthy it is, i promise.
⢠plan plan plan yo week. it doesnât matter if you use a planner, bullet journal, the calendar on your phone or the notes app: write everything down you have going on next week. appointments. events. coffee-dates. when are you going to the gym? what are you going to eat? (meal prep if necessary) also, create reminders on your phone for everything. âi wonât forget it!â is a sweet thought, but oh honey you will. schedule reminders for every event. let your phone remind you that you need to buy toilet paper when the store is nearby. schedule daily reminders for your medications. (once youâve done this it honestly feels like you just cleaned out 38GB of your brain, you simply donât have to worry about that anymore, space for more important info, like your new favorite pun to annoy everyone with)
⢠most importantly: listen to what your mind and your body need today and next week. daily life is so full of âshould-doâs that itâs important to find a healthy balance between the âshouldâs and the âneedâs. you will be much more productive, healthy and happy that way. nobody knows you better than you do, take advantage of that and plan accordingly.

If youâre anything like me, mornings are pretty much the worst part of your school day. In fact, mornings used to be the most anxious part of my day. Iâd stay in bed past my alarm, rush to get ready, eat âbreakfastâ in 5 mins, and drive to school with what I call, âMorning Traffic Anxietyâ (you know the feeling). But a few years ago, I came to the conclusion that although my anxiety would never truly go away, I did have the power to make my mornings feel a little more like âme timeâ. Here are my tips on how to start off your day in the best way possible.
I donât care how confident you think you are; You need alarms. Thatâs right- alarmS- plural. This isnât just to wake you the hell up; Iâve learned that setting several alarms is the best way for you to keep track of how much time youâve spent doing something. And, if youâre anything like me and know you like to stay in bed past your alarm, set your first alarm even earlier. For example, my first alarm for âwaking upâ is 5:30, the alarm for actually physically getting up from bed is 6:00, out of the bathroom by 6:30, downstairs by 6:45⌠you get the picture. Not only are alarms for waking up, but theyâre also for timing yourself. My alarms are set in 15-30 min. increments away from each other, but do whatever floats your boat.
Commit to your sleeping/waking up schedule. I love sleeping-in on weekends as much as the next girl; but please donât torture yourself by over-sleeping. Youâll just regret it by the time itâs monday morning. Stay (somewhat) consistent and your body will thank you for it.
Listen to music while you get ready. This is one of the best and mose effective tips Iâve ever come up for myself, self-care wise. If Iâm feeling particularly anxious, Iâll put on a peaceful, calming playlist to get ready to. If I want to wake up more energetic and am getting ready for a busier day, Iâll play more fun and upbeat songs. Whatever music you choose, I promise itâll change your mood. (If you need some morning music recs, you can find my playlists here!)
Plan out your Tomorrow Outfit. I know, I sound like your mom. But trust me, it really does help and it saves you so much time! If you donât want to physically put out your outfits, at least have an idea in your head for the next morning.
Please. For the love of God. Eat breakfast. Even just a little bit. I never understood how some of my friends and classmates could, dare I say, SKIP breakfast and survive class. This concept leaves me in awe. I personally feel like Iâm going to collapse if I donât eat breakfast. Please eat; even if itâs just a little bit! Find the time to actually make a good breakfast, or even pre-make a good breakfast the night before. Bagels, toast, and oatmeal are great quick and wholesome-enough breakfast choices. Also, remember that your morning is YOU time- take this time to enjoy your favorite coffee/tea without rushing! It feels good, trust me.
As you can see, a lot of working on bettering your mornings is about time. Speaking from experience, I can confidently say that rushing is not fun. I hate being late, and being in a hurry just makes my anxious mornings even worse. The best tip I could ever give is to find a morning routine that works for you, practice it, and stick with it. Just like any other struggle, making your mornings more enjoyable just takes commitment; but itâs 100% do-able!
Becoming more confident is a long journey full of hard work. Iâve always had very low confidence but in the last few years I managed to become more confident than I ever imagined Iâd be. Here are the things that helped me with my confidence the most:
Wake up with music that makes you feel good -Create a playlist of songs that make you feel alive and powerful and then listen to it every morning. If you arenât waking up to Everybody loves me by OneRepublic⌠What are you even doing?
Stop being mean to yourself -So many of us call ourselves a disappointment on daily basis without realising it. I want you to imagine you are talking to a friend, not yourself. You wouldnât call your friend useless every time they mess up, would ya?
Wear clothes you are comfortable in -Iâm not necessarily talking physical comfort. You should feel beautiful in your clothes. It can be wearing sweatpants or croptops, itâs your choice!
Declutter your space -Throw away things that make you feel bad. All the clothes you donât like wearing, all the clutter that makes you feel like crap at home. Even throwing away the shampoo that doesnât smell nice to you is helpful.
Work out -Again itâs not as much about looking good but feeling good. You want to feel strong or fast or whatever your goal may be.
Appreciate small victories -A great journaling prompt is just to sit down every single evening and write down at least 3 small or big victories of the day.
Try new things -Get out of your comfort zone and try the things youâve always wanted to do. For me personally it was talking to more poeple. I found more friends and realised I can make people laugh and that was a great confidence boost.
Walk with your head high -This is a sort of âfake it âtil you make itâ type of thing. Donât look down when you walk and keep your back straight. Walk like an assassin on a mission.
Find what youâre good at -Get to know your talents.
Donât rely on compliments from others -Learn to appreciate and compliment yourself.
Find what kind of vibes you want to have and work on that -Do you want to be a ray of sunshine? Smile more and wear bright colours. Become who you want to be.
Take care of your body -Force yourself to feel good in your skin.
Get familiar with your body -Stop avoiding mirrors. Find the things you love about it and accept things you donât like. Be grateful for your body taking care of you the way it does.
As alwas I truly hope I helped at least some of you and have an amazing year full of self love!
âEllo, mate! Itâs werelivingarts and Iâm here with a simple guide to manage your time and prioritize your tasks with only 3 steps ~Â
Before planning anything, For me (you guys might have different approach), I find recognizing my energy level pattern really helpful because I can prioritize tasks and get the done in my most productive time rather than forcing myself to cram for homework after midnight. đđ
I start planning my day by dumping all of the tasks I remember down to to-do list using Bear, and then I would organize these tasks if they are daily, weekly or monthly task on Edison app â which also allows time blocking. After that, I would prioritize tasks daily on app Success. (This is not ad, this is just helpful apps that I use). đ
Hope you find this helpful in some ways! Thank you for reading! â¤ď¸đđ
