Our path has had woodworking on it from day one. It's something my brother and I grew up with, watching and partaking in our father's woodworking projects as kids- without a doubt this concept of using wood to make something useful influenced us at an early age. So when looking to 'branch out' from our desk jobs ;)... it was natural for us to choose wood as our first medium when starting out... especially since we could use some of the tools our dad still had! #thanksdaddio

These pieces started 8 feet long, we dimensioned them to 4 feet and placed a single #iphone6case in the middle for scale. Right to left we've got #yellowheart, #wenge, #padauk, #maple, #walnut, and #purpleheart. It's a lot of work dealing with such large pieces of solid wood... but after you see what we've made I think you'll agree the effort is totally worth it!!
How did you do the stringers in the wood?, also, is that 1/8th veneer?
We create custom veneer for our longboards, so the stringers are part of the design when we glue it up. Since its all handmade, we cut between 1/8th and 1/16th for the outer veneer. We also include 3 custom core plys that are just over 1/8th.
