          PSA on blog policing.

          Don’t do it. Just don’t.

           What someone writes on THEIR blog is THEIR business alone. What they roleplay is nobody’s business but THEIRS. What subject is being represented, light or dark, is no one’s business but for both consensual partners writing together, and it does NOT mean either party condones what actions or subjects are written. Where the hell has this mentality even COME from? How do you live life outside?  You must not be reading a lot of books because they’re chuckful of dark content and guess what? The rest of the world, for the most part, understand it stays between the pages. You have a CHOICE to consume what appears in front of you or not. YOU chose to be there. YOU chose to read their threads, pages, etc. If you don’t agree with a book’s contents, you’ll put it back down and won’t buy it. Are you gonna set the library on fire because one of their books talked about a subject you don’t agree with because SURELY it means they’re condoning what’s represented in said book? No. I didn’t think so. (If you said yes, please get yourself checked, that’s not normal behavior). No one is holding a gun to your head. Stop acting like you were forced into reading someone’s thread.

          “But V, this person’s content distresses me when it appears on my dash.” I have a very simple solution for you: UNFOLLOW. BLOCK. It is no one’s job to babysit your viewing. Certainly not THEIRS. It’s YOUR responsibility to be careful with YOUR viewing. And for the love of GOD, you have the ability to actually blacklist what may make you uncomfortable or trigger you on this hellsite: USE IT. It’s not an option you’ll find often, if at all, anywhere else. You’re LUCKY to even have these options.

          “Right well, I went on this one blog and the backstory talked about triggering content for me, so they must be into that stuff. They’re gross.” I’m sorry. I truly am, because that’s certainly not fun for you and I understand that. But attacking the one who wrote the backstory, however, isn’t gonna make you a big savior, it’ll make you look like an asshole. Life is full of triggers and uncomfortable things. Not everything can be controlled. Unfortunately, in this case, it can’t be controlled. (Assuming there were no warnings on the blog, either on the main page or their rules). Your best option? LEAVE THE PAGE. Again, there are many types of characters in the world, some with darker backstories than others. It’s what makes them who they are. You have a right not to agree with it, and you also have every right to step away.

          It’s not your job to come in with your tumblr police badge and go on ANON of all damned things, and try to bully the writer into submitting to your little power trip. Yeah, that’s what I just called it: a power trip, because that’s really all it is, most of the time, targeting someone for brownie points. Well guess what? You just look like someone who can’t keep their nose out of someone else’s business. If you don’t like something, don’t write it. Let others write what they want.

           Tldr; don’t police people’s blogs. It’s no one’s job to babysit your viewing content. Unfollow. Block. Blacklist. There’s even the option on mobile now. But don’t harass muns and their partners because you don’t like what YOU read of YOUR own accord.

at the beginning of the quarter this barbie doll showed up in my design prof’s classroom and he doesn’t know where it came from but one of his other classes crucified it(????) and when it somehow disappeared a week or so later people apparently lost their minds

uh, hey. im not sure who's gonna see this but i know people are probably freaking out really bad right now—

technoblade's gonna be okay, dude. i promise. from a medical standpoint, techno did the really healthy thing by immediately getting himself checked out and diagnosed, which is really, really good. he's got really fucking good doctors, which he's told us himself, and he's probably not exaggerating—the phrase techno millionares had to come from somewhere, right? he's in good enough health and spirits to talk to people (including online fans!) and record content, and insists on doing so, somehow, and he's got a really good network of irl friends to help him through all this. and, come on now. it's technoblade. he won't hesitate to drop us the minute his health requires it. he's cool like that :)

if you're having a hard time, or you feel scared or anxious or panicky—don't feel bad about it. you're empathetic, and you care, and that is so beyond lovely. but please, keep all this in mind. don't let it consume you too much, yeah? drink some water, watch something that makes you feel safe. listen to the blood god himself. he's pretty optimistic. our guy's got this.

Apparently, they absolutely WILL NOT HESITATE to hold you back a grade as many times as it takes 😅
