My apolocheese if you have answered this before, but for your 3D-looking art, do you use a 3D modeling program, or is it 2D with really good shading or a filter like bevel? It's such a unique style!
No worries! Here's the process I usually use (note that I use mobile Ibispaint X, and that I do not know how well these steps translate to other programs! The app is free though ^_^)
Aaand here's a few examples of stuff I made using this technique
there he is
my low quality son…
i drew zuzu and toodles!! @calypsoemmitting
sorry that i haven't been active!! i hope this makes up for it!!
So i’m just watching youtube, trying to chill out and whenever, when I get a Lego Movie 2 Ad for a video I was watching
do you see that timestamp at the bottom? Yeah, this is apparently 5 hours long.
And at first I was wondering, well is it the entire movie? No…this entire ad is for their newest “everything is awesome” type song. It is called “this song is gonna get stuck inside your head” and I am pretty goddamn sure it is going to repeat that one line over and over until my brain melts
So I am going to see if they really are playing it for 5 hours
ok i caved and downloaded blender solely because i wanted to make toodles and quoodles art that looks kinda official
i drew @clowndolly64 's toodles design!!
Just a silly little redraw of one of my favorite moments ever from Space Adventure. These 2 goofballs have been plaguing my mind for a year now I NEEEEED to make more stuff with them!!!
Zuzu stretched, yawning softly. Scratching at her pointed ears before she sat up. She’d fallen asleep on a beanbag in the clubhouse sometime in the mid morning- awaking to the lights being off and all the lamps and fairy lights being on. She smiled softly, knowing this was the work of only one person.
“Toodles…” She called out softly, coughing slightly from her throat being dry. She walked to the kitchen, listening and looking for the robot who should’ve already shown up. Grabbing a bottle of orange juice from the fridge- she waited… and waited. Sensing he wasn’t coming right away- she said it again.
“Toodles.”
Still nothing. Confused, she went into the main room of the clubhouse, where the Mousekadoer was, finding said robot asleep in the little divot in the machine.
“Awh… okay. I see why you didn’t show up.” She says, sitting down next to the machine.
“Thanks for turning the lights off.. and probably keeping people away. I really appreciate that.” She says, talking to the sleeping bot.
“I appreciate a lot that you do. More than you know. I appreciate how you always include me… how you make sure people don’t talk over me or insult me… how you make sure I’m rested.”
Eventually instead of actions- her words turned into features, or quirks of the bot.
“I like how the little LED lights on you light up when you’re really happy. I like how you spin your ears when you’re happy or anxious. I like that you draw and create. Your stutter is cute too..”
She doesn’t realize how much time had passed where she was just spouting off things about the robot she liked… until he mumbled out a quiet-
“I-i-I like you too…”
