So WTNV succeeded in getting me into Alice Isn’t Dead. It’s already made me gasp out loud so many times; Night Vale is cute and quirky and funny and loveable, but Alice isn’t Dead is just so much more genuinely eerie and spooky. This episode was more on the poignant and pensive end of the spectrum, and this comic really captures it expertly. I also like that the artist didn’t skip over the bit with the pizza-making, too. It was just such a warm and lovely flashback, but also part of an important meditation on what makes life meaningful which really throws into relief the tragedy of Jackie.
Parts: 1 / 2 Factory by the Sea, episode 4 season 1 Alice isn’t Dead by Nightvale Presents!
I really REALLY love this podcast and I want everyone to check it out HERE. DO NOT DELETE THESE COMMENTS PLEASE!

Happy belated black hole day because I have a bad habit of forgetting things in my drafts!
Also both the black hole picture and Treasure Planet are still awesome.
Happy black hole day!!
They are truly fascinating
So I’ve been reading/playing Stay? by E. Jade Lomax of @ink-splotch and I wanted to try and capture the enchanting valley of Elaia (and its surrounding areas) as I’ve been picturing them in a moodboard.
Featuring our beloved guardian lion statue, pre-vandalization, the Phoenix Gem, the Fiore Dam, Myka’s house (hers was the one with the olive tree, right? She was my first wife and I can’t even remember which house was hers for sure. I’m sorry Myka!), and the alleyway I picture the graduation parade going down.

One of the things I love about having a tumblr now is tracking down all the great fanart I’ve appreciated for so long and getting to share it and sing its praises properly :) The lovely Christmas Tardis picture in this set was my first phone screensaver when I started using my first smartphone last Christmas. (Yes, I’m very behind on technology for a millenial.) I love all of these so much, though. The style feels like proper, old-fashioned book illustrations, gentle and fantastical and nostalgic--and, of course, Christmassy :)
In response to the “which door” question--well, the cheating answer is the Tardis so that you could visit all of the other worlds with it ;) Honestly, though, I would choose the Tardis first for the sake of variety--I mean, how could you turn down the whole universe, past, present, and future? Second place is harder to pick, though. Probably Hogwarts, followed by Middle Earth and/or Narnia--I think those two tie for a close third. Each promises similar fantastical adventures. Wonderland and 221B would be neat, too, but they’re lower priority. I don’t actually recognize the door below the Tardis with the hippos (or horses?) and the lighthouse. Whatever fandom that is is probably laughing at me now. In any case, I love how each door leads to adventures :)
“The universe is big. It’s vast and complicated and ridiculous. And sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles.”
— The Doctor
So if some bizarre Christmas miracle was about to happen with you and all of those fantastic worlds become actually properly real - what door would you choose? ~_^
Also, I have temporary added all of this illustrations to my Redbubble shop, so if you want some of those Christmas cards - it’s better to hurry because they may disappear from there any second now ^^’

There was an old joke in the Once Upon a Time fandom that you could put a coconut and a lighter next to each other and people would start shipping them... But like... I can see Stabby the Roomba and Blessie the Plant Monster making a great team, haha. They have a compatible spirit; they both resulted from humans messing around and now they enjoy messing around with humans.
How did I stumble into this madness? My friend was telling me about Stabby a while ago, and I noticed that a lot of the posts about it made reference to some kind of sci fi fandom; she told me that Stabby had been adopted by a podcast called Wolf 359. This Monday I needed something to listen to while I was fabric painting a shirt for the play I’m in, and now I’m 33 episodes (plus mini episodes) in and I needed some Stabby-flavored levity again.
Stabby and Blessie for interstellar domination 2k19! Now excuse me while I check if there’s an AO3 tag for this ship, lol.
wolf 359 aesthetics- stabby x blessie for anon (i promise there will be no more shitposty aesthetics from now on… maybe)

I love youtube’s suggested video categories feature and its understanding of my interests <3

This looks like it belongs in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and I very much want to pet it and find out how soft it is... Also, I’m quite curious what sort of sound it makes.
Also I just looked them up and these pretty babies are endangered. Good on you, mysterious person’s hands taking care of this precious polka dotted baby :)

I love the way seemingly unrelated, random things connect on tumblr. A couple of weeks ago, a Series of Unfortunate Events blog I follow reblogged a cat meme regarding a cat named Snicket from Cat Suggest. I wound up scrolling through the Cat Suggest tumblr until I happened upon a lovely sampler pattern which this tumblr had made from one of their posts, and now I’m considering getting back into cross-stitch (”back into” I say as though I’ve ever finished anything) just because I went on a funky tumblr walkabout. It has its pros and cons, but it’s a pretty neat site that way :)
We genuinely can’t believe it. You guys are so amazing and we’re so happy to be on this journey with all of you, absurd blue hellsite and all. The folks who have told us that they rekindled a hobby, or those that have started new, the wild submissions, and the sheer quantity of people who have made the absurd electrical impulses from our brains into a thing you can hold in your hand brings us joy on a daily basis.
So what are we giving away?
1. A pattern commission from us. It will be around our standard size and complexity, in .pdf form
2. A mystery needle minder! Prism has been practicing construction in anticipation of the Nat 20′s we’re going to get in, so she’s got a small array of tests that came out very nicely.
3. A mystery kit! So many mysteries. We’re just getting started creating kits, so you can get your hands on one before they become available.
4. A gorgeous pattern from @mathysphere. If you haven’t taken a look at their patterns, you should! Right here! The entire pride planet series is amazing. We went with the first of the series for our giveaway:
Fun Fact: Mathy was the very first blog that ever followed us. We were mildly intimidated because their stuff is so dang cool.
What are the rules?
Current followers and folks who follow us before April 5th (12:00PM Central US time) will be automatically entered into the contest.
For other entries like or reblog this post. Multiple reblogs are allowed within reason and our discretion. Don’t annoy your spacemates. Giveaway specific blogs will be disqualified. We’ll post updates if we think of any. Good luck!
