alex or michael oxenfree 78!!!
[id: a drawing of alex from oxenfree, sitting with her head down and pulling michael’s jacket around her. the lyrics around her read “so i sit in the vacuum you left behind, and i sift through each phrase for an ember/for a spark that will light, cause i can't rewind, i unravel until i remember.” /end id]
but now you're a black hole / and i am left numb
from the loop of these memories / the loop of the

SOMEBODY NAMED HEYVAGINAHEAD LIKED ONE OF MY POSTS. VAGINAHEAD IF YOURE SEEING THIS I LOVE YOU
I’ve made posts like this before but I think time loop stories are some of the most concentrated essences of the nature of a story having a narrative function. A time loop story takes the fact that any story can be reread, rewatched, relistened to forever without ever changing the end, and makes that a literal function of the story, the infinite repeatability becoming the driving factor. And then the story says “but what if the infinite repeating cycles did change? What if it was possible to get it right, to break the loop, to free yourself from the narrative? What if the universe (the reader, the author) wants you to get it right, no matter the cost?”
