Yang Liu practicing her 独竹漂 (duzhupiao; single bamboo drifting) skills while blindfolded. Bamboo drifting is a folk skill found in northern Guizhou, where it began as a convenient way to cross the Chishui River and is now a competition sport and performance art. As an inheritor and bequeather of the skill, Yang Liu aims to tell the whole world of this cultural tradition and prevent it from being lost to time.
