Tomarry recs Part l

Soooo, for the Tomarry girlies, hope this reaches you. Here are some recommendations of the pair. You should know that all of these have something in common though, aside from being my favorites. These are TOMARRY fanfictions, meaning Harry x Tom Riddle, not Harry x Voldemort. (So, most of them time travel)

I feel more comfortable with this ship, and I’ve found that it tends to be less toxic, (though not always). Another important thing about them is that most put both Harry and Tom in equal footing, meaning: no abuse or manipulation (tho Tom certainly tries), or just any funny business.

If there is anything I love about these fics is how Harry confronts Tom, questioning his beliefs and social standing by just being good ole Harry. Sassy, magically powerful and impulsive Harry. So yeah, enjoy!

- [ ] Wear Me Like a Locket Around My Throat: Technically incomplete, but it’s basically a second part. The main arch wraps up very nicely, so I’d count it as complete. ✨ The Illusion that One Can Get Things Right / 119k / Blindsided by Ginny's sudden departure from his life, Harry struggles to care for his family—replete with a new baby. The situation plummets from disarray to pandemonium just as Draco Malfoy arrives to drop Scorpius off for a visit, because of course it does.

I have a more in depth review, but here I’ll just say that this is one of those fics that leaves you feeling like you’re swimming in clouds. Sickeningly sweet moments, scorching hot smut and adorable kids, it has it all.

✨ Nights With You / 58k / Draco is mortified when moments prior to departing for the most anticipated destination wedding of the year, he is cruelly dumped. But when he learns that Harry Potter has, at long last, split with his horrible boyfriend, Draco is certain his luck has changed. Never a man to squander an opportunity for revenge (and what would probably be a spectacular shag), Draco vows to make Potter his for the weekend.

Now all Draco has to do is convince him.

Hilarious, hot and adorable. Plus, a very strong friendship between the whole cast, which is not that common in post war fics. Loved it.

✨ Rookie Moves / 75k / Aurors Potter and Malfoy crack the case.

I laughed so hard while reading this, is not even funny. Their banter is top-tier.

✨ Soup-pocalypse and The Great Curry Cataclysm / 104k / Eleven years after the war, Draco Malfoy leads a quiet, boring, and perfectly respectable life, thanks very much. Or, at least he does, until a sudden and very unexpected veela awakening causes him to throw soup all over Harry Potter in the middle of the Ministry cafeteria.

Love a messy and barely-keeping-it-together Draco.

✨ Life Lessons / 68k / On the cusp of a promotion, Harry needs a little help with his image. Enter Draco Malfoy — who doesn't really do that, Potter — to whip him into shape… and make him feel things he hasn't for a very long time.

Featuring: odd jobs, surprising chemistry, lots of accidental kissing, the Prophet living up to type, owls exhausted by the carrying of dirty letters, a secret no one can talk about, a merry band of Slytherins (none of whom really approve), and an enchanted mirror (who really, really does).

✨ The Day Before the Wedding / 39k / Harry's getting married to Ginny tomorrow. The problem is that he can't seem to get beyond today.

✨ You open always / (petal by petal ) / 65k / Harry’s not the kind of person who pays for sex. He really isn’t. Until he is.

The Golden Trio are very affectionate friends. Like annoyingly so.

Always reaching out for a high five or a pat on the back. Arms around shoulders. Greeting with a hug. Harry gives great neck massages. Ron likes to sit shoulder to shoulder. Hermione guides them around with a hand on their lower back (and so they don't wander off).

Ron taps Harry on the ass whenever he walks by. Hermione trims their hair during the school year because she insists it does a better job than magic. Harry could fall asleep anywhere and regularly dozes off in class with his head on one of their shoulders.

If they're sitting at a table together, chances are their legs are all tangled together underneath or stacked like pancakes. Hermione holds onto their arms when they walk through a crowd. Ron props his chin atop their heads when he stands behind them.
