Abbas Attar's photographs of Dhaka on December 16, 1971: when the Pakistani Armed Forces finally surrendered to Mukti Bahini, ending the nine-month Liberation War and 1971 Bangladesh genocide and marking the official secession of East Pakistan to become the new state of Bangladesh. Bangladesh commemorates this day as Victory Day (বিজয় দিবস) to honour the martyrs who laid their lives down in the war.
Am I in lost track?
Never can find you?
So far away
It was meant to
I'll find you in this lost track.
I'm holding all the path I've taken
As love all these lines
I'm walking by myself.
Suddenly step aside
And lost my track
Come to know that you're here.
I sunk immersed in this bright lostness
To look for you
Not to found ourselves
But to our tracks.
People find it difficult to get over their memories while I want to remember literally everything 🙃
