ask and you shall receive! I present: hatter’s MCYT Detroit: Become Human au! (so far)

prepare to be wowed. ok so the premise and plots are different from the game but it still switches between three pov’s and take place in Detroit 2038 (the sleepy bois, dream team, and skeppy/bad). I’ll be documenting my progress on here but so far i have to first “chapters” planned out. I’ll be doing the prologues next just to establish more setting since I’ve done some more research on Detroit and the DBH setting.

the sleepy boi’s arc starts with Phil (a house keeping android) cleaning and establishing relationships with the rest of the sbi. techno, wilbur and tommy are children in this au, ranging from ages 7 to 14 or somewhere around there. Tommy being the youngest, wilbur and techno being twins (techno eldest by two minutes). what causes phil to become a deviant is the need to protect the kids when the house he works in is infiltrated by police. the police being under the false assumption that house is a halfway house for deviant androids. the police try to detain and the rest of the sleepy bois and phil. phil manages to escape with the kids by stealing the family car and traveling into downtown detroit.

the dream team’s first chapter starts with dream (an already deviant android) infiltrating the cyberlife dump to find a missing component he lost when George (a human begrudgingly working at cyberlife as an ai programmer) is about to head home from work and spots him. Dream flees thinking george will turn him in but ends up being spotted by a cyberlife drone while running. he hides in the fucking bushes or something idk when George, who had been following him, offers to help and bring dream back to his apartment. my plan for George’s reason to help is that sapnap, another deviant android, (who George had known before deviancy and helped escape from cyberlife) also lives at his apartment and George can’t help but want to assist another android. I was thinking of adding a backstory with George that explains why he hates cyberlife. maybe he’s the creator of androids and doesn’t like what cyberlife has come to or somethin

lastly skeppy and bad’s arc. bad is also a housekeeping-ish android, he specializes in therapy and disability assistance. Skeppy is busy a lot which bad doesn’t really mind but finds lonely. whilst “busy” skeppy is actually doing ✨crime✨(how do you think he paid for an 8000 $ android) and although he had yet to be caught, the police catch him about to enter his apartment one night after a smaller robbery. Bad realizes skeppy is late because although he’s busy he’s always home by 10 pm and while taking the garbage out sees skeppy forcefully being detained. this is when bad becomes deviant, having multiple military and weapon programs installed he helps skeppy escape and they become ‘on the run’ tm

Humans are Space Orcs

So, I’ve seen a ton of these posts, but not one exploring a darker side. Like, everyone’s talking about how humans would pack bond, welcome, or just be total bad asses and defend Earth or whatever. But I haven’t seen a post about humans experimenting.

For example, I see a ton of media with humans just experimenting on alien like cretures.

We’re curious creatures. We want to find out more about things. And if it’s something new and strange, there would be different reactions. The new thing could be shunned upon or seen as some sort of object.

Take the people who aren’t straight. There are people who don’t like them. Homosexual relationships are also overly sexualised too. People force trans people to choose one or just completly disregard who they are. Humans forget that the people of theLGBTQ+ community are people too.

What makes aliens any different? There are people who wouldn’t hesitate to hurt them in the name of science.

Aliens shouldn’t be afraid of humans just because they’re all cool and unkillable. They shouldn’t just be afraid of the fact that Earth is a literal kill zone. Aliens should also be afraid of the fact that humans are willing to lock them in a room. See what poisins aliens react to. How fast are their regenerative powers?

As much as I love the fun Space Orcs posts, I can’t help but think of the darker parts of humanity.

So, I have decided to make Hanahaki Disease sound a little more realistic than pretty flowers that grow in your lungs. Or at least make hanahaki a little more tragic.

First of all, the lungs are not hollow so flowers just suddenly blooming and filling the lungs up like a balloon is not possible. Secondly, it is probably more likely you will choke to death on the first few petals before a whole flower comes out (though don’t quote me on that because I am not a doctor).

The first option would be to have the flowers grow through and around the tissues of the lung, sort of like some kind of mold. However, this does defeat the point of hanahaki, which legit means throwing up flowers. But do you know how cool it would be to do surgery on a person that just has flowers weaving in and out of the tubes and spongey cells and tissues?

Option two is to have not have legitimate petals, but weird blood clots that are oddly shaped like petals. Since people can die from heartbreak (their hearts actually start failing, it’s cool, look it up). So like when a person feels like their love is unrequited or if they have been rejected, their hearts and body starts fucking shit up, and this causes the blood to clot into weird, flowery shapes. They will then start to throw up the clots. However, I guess with this, getting their feelings requited would not work out and you would need some sort of surgery or medicine.

The third option is some weird compulsion thing where people with unrequited love start to eat flowers to the point of getting sick and throwing them up. It could be like some mass hysteria thing or just a mental illness that affects a few people. To make this option sadder, if only some are affected, it could be ignored and seen as “attention seeking” (sort of like mental illnesses are treated today).
