HOWEVER, if you were to headcanon them another skin-colour aside from paleness—which one of the characters are you going to do so?

In front of you are two (male) characters: one is brown/dark-skinned (or maybe "tan" if that's how far they go), and the other's pale-skinned. Both of them have decent body types. None of them are too muscular. Yet, here's the real deal, some fans don't like if there isn't some sort of a power-play dynamic between them. In order for that to happen, they have to conceive headcanons for them!
So who's gonna be the muscular one: the brown/dark-skinned one, or the pale-skinned?
