This is such a cool concept, basing each character death from the Lacrimosa is really neat. I’d like to see this be made into a game :0
Okay, okay, imma go out with it: Mordecai Heller is the protagonist | The horror game Wick is you playing as the survivor that withhold a candlelight while they're friends ditched them in a haunted forest. Long story short, the game is about 5 (or 6?) Kids whose ghost stories about them come to life and those five kids best the survivor's ass basically)|
Anyway, Lackadaisy speakeasy had actually withered away years ago and since Atlas died all those years ago, his soul is actually connected with the speakeasy. For most people, it was a minor inconvenience, but for Mitzi, it was a tragedy. She killed herself the day the speakeasy was burnt down. However, there had been rumors that the speakeasy itself is seen completely undamaged and yet, it was confirmed not proven. It is only at nights where they would hear Mitzi crying, but she is obviously a ghost. Not only that, those tied to the fallen speakeasy will be dragged down with them. Slowly.
The Savoys want to prove that it's real by forcing Mordecai against his will to go search for the so-called fallen speakeasy. Mordecai, the protagonist, was just left stranded and all he was given was a candlelight, matches and a pocket knife. With that, he had no choice but to make it until 6 AM.
Short story to the first person to fade was Calvin, Calvin was possessed one day and was led into the speakeasy. That was the last time anyone ever seen him, he never came home that day and his mother was devastated. Nextly, it was Rocky, he was demanded to find Calvin, once he did, he ended up finding out that his cousin's dead. He was skinned to the bone and his body strapped in chains. However, Calvin's body was reanimated and he strapped Rocky down and threw him in the deep water and the chains were heavy on Rocky's body until he had drowned to death. Their bodies were never found.
Next was Ivy. She never went to the speakeasy, however, she seems to have dreams that were slowly becoming real each weekly night. The more real the dreams became, the more detached she becomes from herself. She died mysteriously that night as she never woke up from her dream. Her father was in distraught as he sees his daughter never waking up. Her soul is trapped within the speakeasy like Calvin and Rocky.
Zib was slowly fading day by day as if he was a ghost. His voice disappears slowly. And one day, he just woke up in the speakeasy and his soul stuck there forever. Rumors say that when he sings. It means he's awake and aware of anyone's presence.
Wick got buried alive and suffocated and there's that damn duck who pretty much is his small pet that he rather runs away from.
Viktor was rotting and falling apart from the inside and outside. He was slowly becoming a monster so he hid himself in despair of how he became. He hates noise and will hunt anyone down who makes noise and kill them. He also can pick up any scent that leads him to the target.
Mordecai was slowly getting memories back the longer he scouted in the speakeasy. Night by night, he slowly becomes hazy and yet eager to know why he couldn't remember anything. Even if it meant dealing with each individual ghost/statue/reanimated corpses. Viktor and Ivy, especially Viktor, were the only few who actually unlocked his memories. Until he met Mitzi, he was disturbed by how Mitzi practically cried her eyes out (literally) she was half faded and half real. Night by night they slowly become worse for Mordecai, but he still kept going, until one night, he decided to go out by himself as he had restless nights. Mordecai faced his last night actually finding the speakeasy itself. The myth is real.
Mordecai found Atlas' painting. Meaning all those hallucinations and surreal dreams was Atlas trying to connect with him. Therefore, Mordecai had let him with no other choice as he just wanted to see him again. However, he was chased out by Mitzi and everyone else now that they were all awakened from their slumber.
Mordecai had no choice but to run out despite the countless warnings that he'll never escape no matter how hard he tries. The moment Mordecai wasn't able to sleep anymore, it was already too late. Yet, the moment he had escaped once and for all, it was what he thought.
Mordecai died from lack of sleep due to neverending memories. His body became like ropes that fell apart and he just walked back to the speakeasy and faded away to join everyone else.
Nobody ever saw him again. Not even the Savoys. As the story was only for the Lackadaisy crew to carry until their corporeal forms finally fade along with the speakeasy. The myth was never solved. But it can never make up for those people that went missing and never came back.
Haven't drawn Elizabeth or anything colored in a while now lol

I want to give Ace a hug after reading this! Poor Ace🤧
Art-wise: holy shit what you drew is amazing, the fear in his eyes and how she is just trying to reach for the knife, is such a very well drawn dramatic scene omg! Like I feel tense from looking at it!
You did awesome 🔥
Despite zzanimazz being deactivated i will still answer the questions they sent me. I hope they can see this wherever they are🫡
CW: physical and emotional abuse mention below
Desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?
Ace isn't really ware of what he wants, he doesn't really think about it long enough to come to a clear conclusion. In reality he just wants to be accepted and understood by someone, anyone really. But he doesn't think thats ever going to happen. She has a bit of a defeatist streak going on that she pushes down by living his life without regrets or shame. Part of that is also subconsciously acting weird and pushing people away. Because the pain of being rejected by someone he actually cared about hurts more than just telling himself that hes never going to have the kind of conection he craves. Most of the way she deals is either by denying or not thinking about it.
Mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?
Ace has made a few major mistakes though she is a bit to stubborn to openly recognize them as mistakes. One is running away from home. He subconsciously regrets it but if he admitted that, to himself it would be like admitting defeat. One she can however clearly see was a mistake was starting to work under her first boss. He was emotionally and sometime physically abusive. And was taking advantage of the fact that she had no life experience and that she was homeless. As to how she fixed it…
CW: visual depictions of choking and implications of murder via stabbing under the cut
Trying out something a bit different with this one. More dramatic lighting and pose. If anyone has any suggestion on improvement feel free to share! The line art is intentionally very sketchy and unfinished to add to the disorientation of the moment. Also avoided adding her eyebrows for similar reasons.
OMG OMG THE RATTLESNAKE IS SO COOL AND WITH MARÍ?? ITS LIKE HER ULTIMATE THATS SO COOL! SO BADASSS!

Oh my God, I love these moments with Carroll and Freckle, they are so sweet 🥹🥹🥹
Oooh scary I know I joke about Carroll's eye a bit like it being a hole of untold horrors but this is what it looks like
Some insight into the designs and fashion of the 20s would be so cool, especially since it's kinda hard these days to sift through just costume listing :'0
Yeah, sadly, the usefulness of a Google search is greatly diminished these days. You can still find articles written by actual human beings and genuine historical garments, but you have to wade through a lot of junky costumes and AI bullshit to get there. I can't possibly fully explain 1920s fashion here, though. It's a broad enough topic to write a sizable book about...which is why people have written many books about it. Check out some books. There are things you can get pretty cheap from resellers, everything from academic screeds about the politics behind the fashion trends of the time, to clothing catalogue compilations from the 20s, to giant coffee table books full of glorious photos.
Here's a PDF version of one of those clothing catalog collections. There's an entire preface about 1920s fashion in general too.
There are some pretty well made blogs about the topic out there as well. Vintage Dancer is one of them. The front of the site is unfortunately kind of cluttered with ads for costume apparel and modern clothing inspired by the 20s, but scroll past that to the historical bits and you'll find pertinent things.
There are some great fashion YouTubers too, like Karolina Zebrowska. Although she's not focused heavily on 1920s fashion, she talks a lot about early 20th century fashion in general. She also talks a lot about the historical context of those fashions.
Also, try online museum displays. The Met Museum has a searchable collection, for instance. Look up 1920s fashion, 1920s dresses, 1920s suits, etc.
Cameras were popular and accessible in the 1920s. Look at pictures of what people actually wore. You can find these images in free government photo archives, or licensing libraries like Getty Images (you don't have to license anything to look at it). And there's always Shorpy. Poor old, underappreciated Shorpy. Their archive is searchable.
OMG WHAT?! NO! I hope she’s alright! Wtf tumblr?! 🥲
GURL WTF
RIP OFFICIALLYZZANIMAZZ WE WILL MISS YOU
