am I the only one who thinks about “evil” jay and “evil” arin too much
Idk how to explain it but actually a good duo . Ever since jay lost his memory every one is expecting him to be something else or do something for them without him having a word in the matter, meanwhile arin had stopped expecting anything from the ninja ( including jay because arin would probably still see him as a ninja ) and other than a “we’re are my parents” and jay either knowing or not , arin would actively not want or even not care about jay . Which could cause mixed feelings because apparently this kid knows who I am and he just … doesn’t care , and it’s a first ! I think I find it funny because I like to imagine jay being mad at whoever wanted to use him and arin is mad at the ninjas and he still sees jay as one , because he might not remember but he still is to him , but to jay this kid is the only one who doesn’t want him to be something he doesn’t even remember , so in a way he kinda cares for him . Idk I feel like it be fun to watch
This is probably not going to be canon but I’m allowed to dream
every single character focused season has been about the ninja finding new ways to use their powers and rising up to whatever the challenge as elemental masters. All Except For Jay. both skybound and prime empire put him in places where theoretically he should have the biggest advantage because of lightning and electricity (the sky+a literal game) except the circumstances take his power away from him completely. because his mastery over his power is completely unquestioned and unconquered. his seasons and each and every character arc he has is about him as a person.
jay never in all 15 seasons had any issue with his power that he himself needed to overcome. never in all 15 seasons did jay receive or need any guidance towards his power. hes the first to learn spinjitzu and airjitzu from the og 4, he figures out how to cleanse the nunchucks of lightning on his own and does it in a second with no struggle at all.
even after losing all his memory and training he can go toe to toe with nya, arguably their strongest fighter with his loss being a strategic one.
each trick and move we see of his is developed by himself off screen because he is the one character whose power was never brought into question. the only way he ever lost his power was when all the protector's powers were taken from them.
that boys elemental mastery is fucking unmatched.
and thats not even counting all the different weapons weve seen him use, and how he excels at gymnastics (bro did back to back to back and back again backflips as stimming)
in conclusion, FSM had to make that bitch crazy and traumatised and obsessed with a single person who didnt like him or he would be too powerful because when others has to fight against their own powers multiple times just to control it, jays only enemy has always been his mind.
big fan of these guys. the blorbus
Thinking about the “brought back wrong” trope but with DR!Jay recovering most of his memories but still having his soul shattered.
