Dawnbreaker takes over Zayne's body but he's in the middle of a kitty cards game

He doesn't know how to play so MC ends up winning quickly in one or two turns

And he gets to see her be so happy that she finally beat Zayne in a match

All Dawnbreaker ever wanted was to see her smile and there she is right in front of him, smiling because of him. A genuine, pure joy, because of him

It's only when MC notices him staring at her with such a sad look on his face, the look of someone who's lost it all and knows he'll lose more, that her smile drops

Fear and panic flash in his eyes. He never wants this moment to end, yet it's because of him that it ends

The moment she asks "What's wrong?" is when Dawnbreaker is pulled back to his own reality, as if hiding himself from the one he wants to show himself to the most

MC: Have I ever told you that I love you with my whole heart?

the characters may be fictional, but my feelings for them are definitely real so I got to cry and mourn and scream and kick my feet and dig my nails into my pillow and giggle and smile and laugh and think and talk about them 24/7 and write fanfics/make fanart about them and use them as my emotional support blorbos and you don’t get to tell me how I can or can’t express my feelings you soulless twat

This is genuinely one of my favorite little throwaway moments from the manga (that got cut from the anime btw). We have Kagome keeping up a relentless march simply because she saw how many people died to Naraku's latest attack, and that motivates her to stop him even if she's on the brink of wearing herself out. We have Miroku being a good friend and tactfully taking note to point it out to Inuyasha, who's too absorbed by a similar motivation at the moment. Then he just casually tells him he can't just tell a girl he likes her before being a slave driver, Inuyasha not bothering to try denying he did in fact confess to her (which Miroku was eaves-dropping on as usual lol) while Kagome claps in "you tell 'im" approval. Meanwhile Myouga realizes he's missed a lot since he's been gone. 😂

Everytime I see zayne that one tiktok audio yelling "BOOMSHAKALAKA" blasts in my head and I think that's beautiful.

I ship this ship because:
