Oh my God, that's a really nice question and a really long post.

So, first of all, I think he's hot and has a pretty face. He has a nice physique and his fins are really beautiful. And some nice green eyes actually. They're so beautiful to look at. I love those thunderbolts he has on his face. They give him the punk rock-ish look and he looks like he's wearing eyeliner for some reason but honestly, I don't give a shit cuz I love it.

He looks really hot here *nosebleed* (There is a reason why this image of him is my Twitter profile picture)

Anyway, he's entertaining and really fascinating as a character once you pay attention to him. I mean, think about it. Why is he so pissed at Diabolico for example? Is it because he tried to kill him when he was an infant or because he was threatened by his power? (I think the former is true and tbh, it makes sense. Of course you would be mad at someone trying to kill you because they felt threatened by your power despite the fact that you haven't done anything to them. He's probably traumatised by that. And honestly, can you blame him tho?) Another thing is the facial expressions he makes. They kind of contrast Vypra. As if Vypra trying to act like a human, it fails miserably but he doesn't have to try to act like a human, because well, he naturally acts like a human, despite being a demon. They really add up to his character. I also feel sorry for him because his life is crap if you think about it (no one respects him, he was forced to grow up and got aged up, his mom is abusive towards him, Diabolico tried to kill him etc.) I view him as an unintentionally sympathetic and unintentionally tragic.

Another thing I love is his voice. I love the metallic tone of his voice. It reminds me of G1 Soundwave for some reason. But in Trakeena's Revenge, it was very aesthetically pleasing too.

In conclusion, I love him. (I will make a long ass post about him and him alone, analysis and whatnot)

Adolfo Kaminsky Dies at 97; His Forgeries Saved Thousands of Jews

His talent for creating realistic documents helped thousands escape deportation to concentration camps, and in many cases to flee Nazi-occupied territory.

At one point, Mr. Kaminsky was asked to produce 900 birth and baptismal certificates and ration cards for 300 Jewish children in institutional homes who were about to be rounded up. The aim was to deceive the Germans until the children could be smuggled out to rural families or convents, or to Switzerland and Spain. He was given three days to finish the assignment.

He toiled for two straight days, forcing himself to stay awake by telling himself: “In one hour I can make 30 blank documents. If I sleep for an hour 30 people will die.”

Mr. Kaminsky died on Monday at his home in Paris, his daughter Sarah Kaminsky said. He was 97.

After seven therapists, four psychiatrists, several antidepressants/other medications, multiple therapy methods, alternative medicines, changes in lifestyle, etc …. It’s become clear that I need special aid in order to have a better quality of life.

At the moment, my mom accompanies me everywhere. When she leaves home, I’m already stretched thin. And although her presence keeps me calm, she’s not very skilled at preventing attacks from happening, or de-escalating them if they do. The constant accompanying is a strain for her, as well.

My hope is that a service dog will provide me with a reliable grounding presence. It can be trained to provide tactiles like body pressure, mouthing, licks. It can smell my triggers, lead me to safe spaces, block a personal space bubble, find help if I need it, and bring me the daily calmness that everyone else enjoys. American law would allow me to bring my service dog to all public spaces, businesses, and during emergencies.

With a service dog, perhaps I can again walk five blocks to the cafe, and use public transport, attend parties and events, manage a full-time job, fly overseas to visit my family, and so much more. I want to get my life going again.

I’m asking for $5,500. A bred puppy (service dogs are trained from a young age, and good breeding is highly recommended) costs around $2,000, the estimated annual cost for a dog is $2,000, and the Owner Trainer Academy is $1,575.

With your help, I could fulfill my dreams within just a couple years! Any and all aid is greatly appreciated!

Fanfiction Authors: HEADS UP

An astute reader informed me this morning that one of my fics (Children of the Future Age) had been pirated and was being sold as a novel on Amazon:

(And they weren't even creative with their cover design. If you're going to pirate something that I spent a full year of my life writing, at least give me a pretty screenshot to brag about later. Seriously.)

I promptly filed a DMCA complaint to have it removed, but I checked out the company that put it up -- Plush Books -- and it looks like A LOT of their books are pirated fic. They are by no means the only ones doing this, either -- the fact that """publishers""" can download stories from AO3 in ebook format and then reupload them to Amazon in just a few clicks makes fic piracy a common problem. There are a whole host of reasons why letting this continue is bad -- including actual legal risk to fanfiction archives -- but basically:

IF YOU ARE A FANFIC AUTHOR WITH LONG AND/OR POPULAR WORKS, PLEASE CHECK AMAZON TO SEE IF YOUR STORIES HAVE BEEN PIRATED.

You can search for your fics by title, or by text from the description (which is often just copied wholesale from AO3 as well). If you find that someone has stolen your work and is selling it as their own, you can lodge a DMCA complaint (Amazon.com/USA site; other countries have different systems). If you haven't done this before, it's easy! Here's a tutorial:

HOW TO FILE A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT FOR STOLEN WORK ON AMAZON.COM:

First, go to this form. You'll need to be signed into your Amazon account.

Select the radio buttons/dropdown options (shown below) to indicate that you are the legal Rights Owner, you have a copyright concern, and it is about a pirated product.

Enter the name of your story in the Name of Brand field.

In the Link to the Copyrighted Work box, enter a link to the story on AO3 or whatever site your work is posted on.

In the Additional Information box, explain that you are the author of the work and it is being sold without your permission. That's all you really need. If you want, you can include additional information that might be helpful in establishing the validity of your claim, but you don't have to go into great detail. Please share this information with your writer friends, keep an eye out for/report pirated works, and help us keep fanfiction free and legally protected!

before you see something and recoil at the price, be it handmade items, services, art, whatever. when you see something and you think, "i wouldnt pay more than $15 for that," you seriously have to ask yourself: if i were offered that same $15, would i make this object? would i spend the time to teach myself this skill to get this done, for $15? would i do this service for that same $15? would that be worth my time and effort?

yeah, that handmade necklace is $140. you might only be willing to pay $40 for that same necklace, but would you make it for $40 if someone asked you to?

you want to pay the babysitter fifteen bucks for the three hours she's watching your child. but would you honestly do that for $15? would you go into a stranger's house and change their baby's diaper and care for its needs, for $15?

you think its ridiculous that this artist is charging $30 for an icon commission. would you spend years catching up to their skill level to make that same drawing, start using your skill to make some extra cash, and then spend three hours on a drawing just to get $15?

would you be willing to work for $5 an hour?

then don't be angry when someone else won't.

you don't have buy the service, it's okay if some things aren't within your budget or comfort zone, and it's also okay if the product isn't worth that much money to you. but do not be angry. be glad, because you know of another person out there who isn't being exploited for their time.

Hello I'm a very poor trans woman and a collegr student I'm currently unemployed due to not having any time for that with my heavy course load even though I'm on break right now the rest is temporary. I have no spare income I have trouble each month acquiring enough to pay for rent bills even the stupid washer and dryer are paywalled and food and my medications. Beyond this I need money to pay for hair removal and eventually surgery my dysphoria is extremely difficult to live with but I have no room in my budget for any savings. If I could acquire around 700$ to spare I could at least get some hair removal and stop spending as much on razors. But with life constantly eating away at what little I have its almost impossible so any assistance in this regard is welcome.
