Daily Doodles- Day 54- 10/06/24

Another mushroom girl! I decided to name her Calista after a name I heard in church (one of the church goers' names)

I think it suits her well. She has a kind of cyberpunk vibe to her

Butterfly girl! 🦋🦋🦋

Fell behind again because I was tired (as usual) and forgot I had to do my daily doodle. I knocked out all 3 tonight though, so it's all good!

Was wishing there was a positivity post for original fiction writers since I see so many about how fanfic writers are doing so much for their communities even when they're not actively writing, and then I thought:

Be the change you want to see in the world.

So this is a positivity post for the writers out here who are working very hard on stories with no established community. Who can't talk about their blorbos and plot lines and brainstorming to anyone and expect them to know what any of it means. Who don't have much to share publicly, but are hoping they will one day.

You're doing a lot of hard work, and I recognize and appreciate what you're putting into the world, even when you're resting.

Multi-Blue Granny Square Crochet Maxi-Skirt Update #6

Update 0 | Update 1 | Update 2 | Update 3 | Update 4 | Update 5 | Here

Not much of an update. I haven't touched this project since the last one.

I've been thinking of taking off a couple of rows to make it a shorter skirt. I live in the Caribbean and this skirt is warmer than expected 😖 🔥

While I contemplate that, I'll finally be working on the waistband. I'm going to do it with double crochet and do decreases to bring it to the size of my waist.

Wish me luck, because I'm doing this with no reference whatsoever!

I think the weird thing about politics right now, especially online, is how dehumanizing people can be.

I have a buddy on one of the discords and I added him on X and wow, he has some very radical left wing views and would absolutely chew me out for my beliefs in a different context, but because we first talked about books and stories, we can see each other as people.

I think a lot of the people online who are incredibly rude to me would be decent humans to me if we met in person.

We just get in mob mentality and plugged into the rage porn from the media and forget that just because someone thinks different solutions would work, doesn't make them evil.

And I think the fact that most conservatives I know don't feel safe or comfortable speaking about their beliefs kinda keeps people from realizing that people they interact with all the time don't actually agree with them on political matters.

The red pill community needs to read the Bible. When Abrahams wife was old and infertile God didn't say "ya bro just find a new wife" in fact he scolds Abraham for being unfaithful. King David's affair with Bathsheba resulted in his dynastys downfall. Joseph was told by God to be a father to a son that wasn't biologically his. So I don't want to hear "as a man I deserve a young hot wife" or "women have expiration dates" or whatever. READ THE BOOK!!!!

really devastating to realize that my belief that “there are some things you can never to do to another person, regardless of who they are and what they’ve done, because they are a person” is held by so few people. they aren’t upset by the unjustifiable, they’re simply unhappy that it happens to the ‘wrong people.’

Today in church I was thrown back into a memory during worship. When I was a baby Christian 14 years ago, I watched a YouTube video put out by another believer. Said video terrified me. The content?

yawning during Bible reading/prayer is demonic influence causing you to see it as boring.

Because of this I spent so much time in anxious prayer, repenting for anytime I yawned. I also fought any yawns that happened by clenching my jaw really tight, causing damage to my jaw line and teeth.

The point of this story? What we put into the world, especially complete misinformation, can be physically and mentally damaging to others. To this day I find myself fighting yawns because it became muscle memory for me. It continues to hurt me by locking my jaw up. We ought to be EXTREMELY careful what we say, and we especially need to speak with the idea that God demands we walk in truth and not fear mongering or lies. The damage you cause with falsehood can last for many years, and you will be held responsible for it.

Daily Doodles- Day 3- 18/04/24

I'm kinda tired and kept forgetting to draw today. She's my second attempt. I tried doing too much again, but finally decided to actually do the 'doodle' part of this thing 😆

Her hair is my favorite part
