[ Contains spoilers for NDRV3 ]
This is the verse that will be used for canon timeline / killing game variation threads! So, anything that happens within the game – whether we keep it to its canon or make a variation of it? Will likely be tagged with this one! However, due to the newness of the game? I intend to leave this purposely vague for now. Once I’m satisfied that most people have played/watched the game? I shall update this a little more properly! But, basically speaking? If they’re within one of the “KILLING GAMES,” I shall be using this tag!
A despair-less verse of the nerds going to Hope’s Peak Academy, rather than the Academy for Gifted Inmates – somewhat based off the “Talent Development Plan” extra, at the end of NDRV3. In this verse, Angie will have been recruited for her talent the same as everyone else.
Brought to the class for her talent, Angie is excited and enthusiastic about the change of scene - given that her island is relatively small, and she had known the same people her whole life? Meeting others is pretty exciting for her! She is eager to make new friends, and to get to know what places outside the island are like.
A very young kumiho, she was only born about twenty years ago - which, given what she is? Isn’t very old at all. She is young, and wants to learn about a lot of things. And some of the best ways to learn? Is to experiment and experience. Making her? One of Orsus’ only mandatory members. Having been sent there by the council for the fact that - if she continued to interact with the public? It might be dangerous for all of them.
Kumiho possess an item called a “yoewu guseul” - a small marble, really, but? It is a part of the kumiho themselves. And being in possession of it can make it possible for those holding it to have divinations of things to come - given this little ones affinity for art? She’s taken to seeing what things are meant to exist later - and creating it now. ( Causing a bit of a stir in the art world, and even ruining some up and coming artists careers, because people thought they were copying someone else, then. )
Now that she’s been sent to Orsus, she’s caused a lot less trouble. However? She hasn’t exactly decided to become a functioning member of their society ether. Her tells, include her long fennec fox-like ears ( yellow-gold in color ) as well as a very puffy, almost round looking, yellow but white-tipped tail. ( It sorta looks like a paint brush. )
The Eve of Envy, as well as Misono’s older brother, Mikuni Alicein is a… goal driven and mysterious asshole person. He often appears to have his own agenda, and mostly aligns himself to help others, only when it’s beneficial to him. At times, it appears his contract has derailed him a little …
( This verse can be used for plotting with partners role-playing different Servamps - In case we want to have a partner-swapped thread. No particular plot in mind for this one yet. But? I’ll add on branches for the different Servamps, as I find people interested in role-playing those different scenarios. )
( This can have two alternative scenarios -
One ; Mikuni Alicein almost died - His battle to obtain his goal had thrown him into too much danger, too many times. And? Near death, he panicked. Mikuni has never liked pain, seemed to fear it, in fact. So? Near death, he pleaded with Jeje to save him. And? Against the odds, Jeje did just that - changing him into a vampire, because? As close to death as he was, there was literally no other way to save the older Alicein brother.
Two ; Having existed for some time now, having been made a vampire/servamp a good long time ago, he’s never made a contract with anyone - Not interested with the counterbalance of a eve. He knows he could be stronger if he accepted it, Servamp’s and Eve’s work well together, he knows that. He’s simply stubborn. )
Anything that happens within the time period of the series itself - such as whenever Nea is possessing Allen’s body. This will pretty much cover the interactions with him, while he’s pretending to be Allen... Or when he’s just going wild, trying to complete his own goals.
Nea was killed and had his soul transferred into a “New” body. This is Nea as he was, running away from trouble while trying to demand his freedom from fate. He absolutely abhors the other Noah’s - at least, aside from his brother. He doesn’t consider himself one of them, despite the annoying nicknamed of the “FOURTEENTH.”
This would be while he was still on the run with Mana - and when he would get to know Cross and the “PAST” Allen.
Though it likely hadn’t been malicious in intent, when things started going wrong, he’d decided to try to go to Cross for help. Unfortunately, despite not considering himself a Noah, and despite knowing Cross, this didn’t end well - in fact, he was kept there so that Exorcists could get a better understanding of Noah’s bodies, and how to fight them. Even now he’s bitter about it, more or less a prisoner there - but? He’s managed to keep his “ark” a secret so far...
( still under construction )
A former shinobi from Iga, back before it’s fall, Hattori Hanzou has been working for Ieyasu since a young age. And? Since then, he’s been getting used to his new Lord’s antics. He is grumpy most of the time, however? He has decided to stick around his side... Becoming the head shinobi of the Tokugawa Shinobi, and following his masters orders absolutely.
Having been ordered to help Enju in her escape, Hanzou was very severely injured. Due to that, he’s not much of a shinobi anymore. However: That hasn’t stopped his connections to his former Lord, who keeps insisting that he take land and a title as offered to him... Even though he’d be content to live as a hermit.
( under construction )
( This would be the canon timeline! ) Basically everything that happened while Garry and Ib where trapped inside of the artwork trying to find their way out - their lives are dependent on the number of rose petals they have, and Garry? Well, he sees things a little differently around here then Ib does.
Some of it comes down to rational paranoia in situations like this... other parts are just him being a little bit cowardly. But? Trying hard on behalf of helping young Ib. He wants to be someone she can rely on...
Having survived their crazy adventure and returned to the real world - somehow Ib was able to trigger his memories to return. At first it’d been a bit hazy, but Ib was able to pull him out of it. Nowadays he tries to keep in contact with her even still. Though, he often worries about the impression he’s making... he doesn’t just want to lose the friend he’d made through their shared chaos.
A piece of “ARTWORK” from within the world - this “Garry” works to take the others place when given the chance to. This can ether be inside the gallery, or having been able to trick Ib into leaving with it, instead of the real one. He is different then the real Garry - having little to no fear, because it’s not really alive. So? It doesn’t respond to things the same - though it does try to from time to time, these responses seem “scripted” and unrealistic.
Mutual Killing Game - So? The canon verse for the events of Danganronpa V3. This will also probably be the general verse that I use for interactions within the killing game, even if it’s an alternate timeline. ( at least until I have enough branch out to create a different verse for it. )
A dating game? Really? When Monokuma announced that they were all brought here for a game and then informed that instead of a killing game they would be playing a “dating game” to determine whether or not people could leave? She is both shocked and... well, not. Nothing about the situation could make this any weirder, so? Might as well at least see if he’s telling the truth. Time to get a date, and hopefully~ escape this crazy place.
Just another Ultimate brought into Hope’s Peak Academy - the Ultimate Pianist. She’s a rather friendly individual and a rather passionate one, so? The school life rather suits her. And all these new, equally passionate, people? Are actually someone relieving to meet. After all - she’d been teased for years for being a “piano idiot” because she enjoyed music so much that there were periods of time where she would even forget to eat or sleep because she got so distracted by the music. Finding out that others could be equally passionate about their interests? Was actually a relief.
The untalented twin of Kaede Akamatsu, Kagami Akamatsu has the looks her sister does - longer hair, kept in a braid, but? Aside from that? Identical. ( She’s a bit more pessimistic then her twin is, however. ) And more importantly? She’s a member of Team Danganronpa. In fact, whereas Tsumugi Shirogane was in charge of the script? She was in charge of picking out the cast from all of the applications.
Was it out of love or spite that she actually chose her sisters video? That’s the real question. ( This verse is based off the late game spoiler that “Kaede has a twin.” Of course, it was left unconfirmed, but? Regardless - I thought it would be fun to play with the idea. )
( This verse is in connection to @chiicxne my canon kaede for this verse. )
smiletorn:
Hearing his words made her feel more at ease. Exhaling softly, the priestess shakes her head and eases herself into her standard smile. Right, ruminating about what it could be wouldn’t help the problem nor would being anxious solve anything. They were going to find answers and she wasn’t alone in this cold darkness. If she had been by herself, perhaps she might have shut down completely.
Fortunately, the person helping her was a kind person.
❛ Oh, thank you! ❜ She nods enthusiastically, loosening her grip a bit but keeping a firm hold on his arm. It was her way of saying that she did wish to continue holding onto it, if only to give her some semblance of comfort. ❛ And… that’s a nice thing of you to say. That being scared like this… is just human. ❜ She knew others who would say otherwise, that being frightened was just a sign of weakness. And though Isanami did her best to embrace her weakness, there were still parts of her she was not proud of. Doing her best to change, but the process of doing so… difficult. ❛ You’re a good person. I like you. ❜ Humming, she swings his arm a little, deciding to let herself go as the minutes went by.
Though she was still anxious, she figured it was better to be carefree and rely on him since he was more experienced than her. ❛ Will do! Just let me know if you’re gonna do something. Though I’ll keep a loose enough grip so that you can take your arm back if there’s not enough time to warn me. ❜ She grins. ❛ Okay, Messiah! You can just call me plain old Isanami then, none of that ‘miss’ stuff. It makes me feel old. A lot of fancy people like to do that sometimes and it kinda bothers me. ❜ Not that she met with nobility on frequent occasions, but when she did? They were usually arrogant, and ‘miss’ in that regard was used condescendingly.
His answer to her question does make her tilt her head though. Stopping in her small talk as she contemplates the meaning of what he said.
❛ To make sure it’s safe? Of course it is! The only people that’s been here are kids from our village. And even then, that’s rare because we’re all too afraid to come here by ourselves. What else would be here that’s dangerous? ❜ Arching a brow in curiosity, she glances up at Messiah. ❛ Besides, you’re a famous detective. Inspecting a place like this isn’t your job, right? You solve murders and stuff. I dunno exactly what a property inspector does, but it sounds like they’re supposed to be doing what you’re doing now. Rich people are so weird… but no offense to you, Messiah! ❜ She sighs. ❛ Making it a museum would be nice. I know a lotta people that would be sad to see this place go. Abandoned or not, the elders here have some memories attached. Plus, I think it’s kinda fun to have a test of courage here now and then. Brings all the children together. ❜
Though, that was doubtful. What use did a museum have for nobles, especially in a village like hers? Giving a shrug, she continues to move after him. When she noticed the tone of his voice, she also lowered hers to match, but she was slightly worried she was talking too much for whatever thing was inside the room. ❛ We’re here, right…? ❜
To be entirely honest, Messiah wasn’t used to people wanting to stay this close to him – there was one exception to that rule, and he did it so often that it was more annoying then welcome. Regardless, it was reassuring to know where she was at right now. When he was on edge with his cane ready to strike if they came across a malicious intruder? He didn’t want to risk bashing the young woman if she’d accidentally managed to surprise him.
“Fear is absolutely normal.” He says with a soft smile. “To feel fear means you value your life. It means you’re human – and that you want to live. There is no shame in fear. After all,” he pauses for a second – closing his brilliant amethyst eyes, before continuing: “For one to move forward, despite fear, is to be brave.”
Honestly, she reminded him a bit of a new friend he’d met. Someone who had been so earnest and kind, that he’d seemed like there was no way that he could survive. But, despite his fear, he’d done absolutely everything in his power to try to save everyone. He couldn’t leave anyone behind. He wouldn’t sacrifice others to save himself. That boy was busy right now – trying his absolute best somewhere else. That was why Messiah had had the time to take this mission in the first place. “Am I?” Messiah asks, laughing softly. He wasn’t one who thought that way about himself, despite all of this – but? “I’m truly glad you think so.”
He nods to show that he heard her though – in answering to both comments: He would warn her before he did something & he would be willing to just call her Isanami. In a situation like this, titles simply made communication more difficult. “Of course, Isanami. I can do that for you.” Of course, he was minimalizing their conversation a little now. Mostly out of concern for the fact that it could be people around . . . But, he would be careful that no harm came to his current companion.
“… property inspectors won’t come here.” He explains in a hushed tone. “Rumors of mysterious happenings have become rather famous in town. Some have claimed to have been injured in attempted inspections. That’s why I was called in.” It meant that HUMAN’s where more likely the cause then any ghost. But, it was the only way he could explain why the building owners had gone out of their way to hire a top-tier detective such as himself. “The rumors are so vivid and common now, that none will take the job. So? When they reached out to me – I figured I’d look into it before claims of injuries got worse. Or escalated.” To murders. If humans were involved, eventually they would escalate to try to get people to stop showing up in general. And that was why he was truly glad he’d found Isanami.
If she wasn’t part of these rumors - && it seemed likely that she wasn’t, there was a good chance that a young woman wandering alone would be a convenient victim for those who were here. “… yes. We have arrived now.”
With that, he falls silent for a bit. Listening through the door – It appeared the piano had stopped making noise now. They’d only heard it for a bit, and that was earlier, however? He still believed it likely that the piano was a mechanical one and that a power surge was the cause of the noise. However, that didn’t stop him from trying to listen in. Where there others inside of the building? The door looked as though it had been opened recently - he could see the movement in the dust. However, he couldn’t see the cause. Nor could he see footprints leading in. ‘… there are other entrances to the building. As well as large windows. I can’t rule out that people have entered elsewhere.’
With that, he looks at Isanami – putting a single finger in front of his lips to silently communicate to not saying anything for a moment, before he reaches into his coat pocket – it was convenient that they had the door a little ajar, after all: Otherwise this little trick wouldn’t work.
With that he pulls out a tiny hand mirror with a strange attachment settled onto it. Moving carefully to put it at the top of his cane, and then carefully using it to peek into the room that was their destination. With it, he could tell that the room had clearly been disturbed. Things were uncovered in the room, their dust covers were gone, and many priceless pieces were exposed because of it… however? As best as he could tell, the room was entirely empty of life. So? With that, he sighs a little, and pulls his cane back to himself, before smiling at Isanami. “Empty, for now. We can enter and look around.”
( spoilers for birthright )
Despite Kamui/Corrin choosing their rightful family when given the chance to? Takumi doesn’t trust them. They’ve grown up in Nohr! Chances are that they’re hear to betray them, and are likely still working for the Nohrian’s they grew up alongside... and it certainly takes him a long time to change his opinion about this.
He’s reluctant to trust and even more reluctant to admit it, when he does decide to trust the other. However, when he has decided that they really are family of his - he is fiercely protective.
( spoilers for conquest! )
Understandably angry of the events that toke place after Kamui/Corrin came home... and the death of the Hoshidian queen, which he believes to have been an intentional attack... He is absolutely enraged at Kamui/Corrin for being “Nohrian”. That he would betray the people of their birth and their rightful family.
Takumi is absolutely unwilling to bend in this situation. He’s unforgiving and relentless in his pursuit.
Though it takes a while to come to the peace necessary to work alongside of them all, after a few unfortunate deaths leading to the surprising opportunity of peace... he decides to give it a chance. It was requested of him, after all. And? As things go on, he finds himself supporting this strange “third wing” stage of both sides working together. It takes a while for him to get used to the idea... but he’s actually somewhat glad for the opportunity.
Fire Emblem ( crossover ) verse - to interact with other characters from various other titles. ( under construction )
Living by their motto of “Almost 100% Success Rate” - Genji and Ban are two close friends who spend most of their time living in Ban’s car, the “Lady Beetle.” They work together as “GetBackers,” meaning they get hired to retrieve things for people. They don’t steal - they only go to get back what “shouldn’t be gone” in the first place.
Leader of the Volts - one of the largest gangs in the lower levels of the Infinity Fortress, Genji is a respected and feared leaders. He is protective of his group, and has a rather... unusual ability, even by the fortress’ standards. Being able to create his own natural electricity.
And as long as he’s within the tower? It appears to be an unending supply. ( Which is particularly scary, due to the fact that being in connection to a current of electricity can even heal him from near life-threatening injuries. Causing him to recharge and his body to heal quickly. )
blah blah blah
The shinobi in charge of over-seeing the younger shinobi’s training, Chojirou is often very proud of those he has worked with. Trusting them and treating them as full-blown shinobi, the moment he believes they’re ready. He wants to give all of his companions a chance to prove themselves, and won’t deny them the opportunity.
However, he is a duty bound man - if given an order, he will try to complete it. Even if it destroys him.
Despite his obvious loyalties to the village, despite his dedication to Koga, he’s unable to bear the weight of his orders. He wanted to complete them, even if it destroyed him - he’s a shinobi. He shouldn’t have an opinion. He shouldn’t be able to argue or disagree with his orders, he knows that. And yet? With those orders pointing his blade towards his loved ones... he can’t.

This wasn’t supposed to be like this! How had things fallen apart so quickly? Lunafreya had expected this situation to be a little chaotic after all awakening the Hydraean could very well be the last thing she did. She was known for being temperamental and Lunafreya had been prepared for that. So it was no surprise that she was soaked to the bone her dress tattered as she attempted to gain control of the situation. She couldn’t break now Noctis was counting on her.
What she hadn’t expected was Ardyn to jump into the situation. She knew he would probably come for her eventually if she still carried the ring. She just hadn’t expected it to be so soon with her only just having formed a covenant with Leviathan.
When she had refused to give him the ring she had expected her death. Ardyn was dangerous after all and she knew it. He gave off that vibe. However, he did something completely unexpected. He had simply shrugged and hoisted her up and took her away. No, this wasn’t what she had wanted. She was finally going to get to see Noctis again and now … where was he even going to take her?
"Put me down, I can walk by myself.“
Although, Lunafreya doubted he would listen he probably expected her to run the second she could and he wasn’t exactly wrong. However, she wasn’t going to just pick a direction and take off. That would be absolutely foolish on her part.
“Do you truly believe that is often how ‘hostage’ situations work, my lady Oracle?”
The mocking words left the man’s mouth with an obvious smile. It was a funny thought – that she was asking to be put down, when he’d clearly snatched her up for a reason. The idea of KILLING her had been a realistic one. It would have been easy to snatch up the R I N G from her corpse, or he could have propelled things into motion by acting out in front of the . . . still immature prince.
It would have worked out alright that way. He wasn’t sure what had caused him to change his plan of action. Or why he’d thought this would work out for the better.
“If I put you down right now, you’d attempt to leave – and that wouldn’t get… pretty. I would likely have to break your legs to keep you from running, no? So would you rather be carried? Or dragged?” The words, the question, sounded a m u s e d. What would she say from her position? Hoisted upon his shoulder like a sack of potatoes? “I can at least give you that option, I suppose.” He adds, with a hum…
Today was turning into a rather ( INTERESTING ) day, to say the least.
