It was a beautiful Sunday. No cloud in the blue sky and a soft breeze who made the temperature ideal.

Like often, Molly invited the order to eat at The Burrow. And like always since the start of your relationship, you came with Alastor. Your relation was made public few months ago, since he wasn't afraid anymore. Although, he wasn't more demonstrative of his feelings for you. But he let you take his hand and give him a kiss here and there. And he always made sure that your glass and plate were full, a way for him to show how much he cared for you without loosing his reputation of tough guy, preferring keeping his romantic side for when you were both alone.

You didn't mind tho, you loved him, more than you ever loved anyone.

Everyone had finished their meal, and we're chatting before the dessert. The mood was good, everyone seemed happy. It's only when Moody get up and cleared his throat that everyone went silent. You looked at him, curious of what he'll do or say.

He looked at you, a slight blush on his cheeks, seeming a bit flustered.

"Y/N... Before you, I lived a lonely life, and that suited me just fine. But that was before I met you. Before I knew what love could do to me. How it had made me someone better, happier,..."

No one talked, and you just looked at him with wide eyes. His tone was more sentimental than ever.

"And I can't thank you enough for everything. Now I can't imagine a life without you... I know that I'm very far of the romantic dream but..."

He then processed to get down on one knee, his bad one. He got out a little box off his jacket and opened it for you, revealing a beautiful ring. When you saw it, you knew how much thought he had put to find it.

"Y/N would you give me the honor to marry me..?"

Alastor waited for your answer, his heart beating way too fast.

And then you started to cry and to jump in his arms.

"Oh yes Alastor! A hundred time yes !"

You kissed him deeply for long minutes until breaking apart to let him put the ring on your finger. Everyone was cheering you both.

You helped him get up and kissed him again. You've never imagined that he'll ask you to marry him today, nor in front of a crowd.

"I love you Alastor... So much"

"Me too dear. More than you can imagine."

He smiled softly. Everyone approached to congratulate you. They were genuinely happy for both of you.

You spend the rest of the day on cloud nine until you both go back home. You haven't let his hand out of yours all day and you never kissed him that much in so little hours.

In your bed, you are looking at the ring.

"It's perfect... Literally perfect..."

"You deserve it"

Alastor smiles and kiss your forehead. You smiled as you remembered his little speech.

"That was... The most romantic thing I've ever seen. I've never thought that you'll ever do something like that.."

He chuckled softly.

"I know that you'd love the gesture. So I made an effort. Because I love you..."

You kissed him for the hundredth time today. Your boyf- no, fiancé was so perfect for you. And now you two will be together for the rest of your life.

Your relation has been hard sometimes. But you loved each other, and this happiness was all it mattered
