“The Tree of Life has faded and Death’s Shadow returned …”
Anansi: Last, of the Dreamwalkers, seeks the “Child of Fire” to awaken humanity’s only hope to restore their dying world.
Hi, Some good news from Zimbabwe's International Images Film Festival for Women. My film will be part of a festival for an audience of women, which I think is really awesome! Women of color have to deal not only with racism, but they also have the added burden of sexism as well. So for a positive event like this to take place in Africa (where a few countries still practice female circumcision among other sexist nonsense) it's a step in the right direction to help spark the hopes and dreams of a more informed generation of women in Africa.
Hi, everyone! I wanted to share some good news my film was selected to play at the Caribbean Tales International Film Festival in September. Also, I was fortunate enough to meet Director John Singleton at the 25th Anniversary of his debut "Boyz N the Hood," which made him the youngest (20 yrs.) director to ever receive an Oscar nomination. It was really inspiring to talk with him a bit and hear about the importance of recognizing one's culture and finding an artistic truth to your work. Peace!- Abdul http://www.caribbeantales.ca/CTFF/
A few Backgrounds I did for An Vu’s animated short “Millenial Princess!” Glad to be a part of it:)
Hi all just did a new interview with Okayafrica for their “Cinema Africa” series. It was a great honor to participate as they are a well respected platform dedicated to have the voices of Africa heard throughout the globe. Thanks everyone!

Hi! This is a fable from my comic (Phoenix Quest) called the “Battle for Gaia.” It’s a myth of how we get Day and Night, as described in a battle between the gods of light and darkness. Thanks! -Abdul

«It’s important to me that Africans feel that no matter where they’re from, they’re part of my film.» "Orisha’s Journey" racconta di una bambina e il potere trascendente dell’immaginazione. Orisha, pur non credendo nelle favole, si ritrova a viverne una dopo l’incontro con un fiore animato che si è smarrito. Orisha intraprenderà un viaggio nel mondo degli spiriti e dell’immaginazione per restituire il fiore alla misteriosa foresta.
Hi all, my film “Orisha’s Journey” was selected to premiere online this Wednesday (December 23rd, 2015) by FILM SHORTAGE for their “Daily Short Picks.” Thank you all for the support and feel free to check it out when its online!

BIOGRAPHY Abdul Ndadi is a Harlem-born writer/artist of Ghanaian descent living in the Bronx. He studied Animation at the School of Visual Arts and started in the industry as a storyboard artist and character designer for independent film productions. His animated short Orisha's Journey, based on various African folktales, premiered in Japan at Hiroshima's animation festival and played last year at Annecy's special screening of African animation. Wanting to expand the types of stories he'd like to tell, Abdul transitioned into live-action after joining the Made in NY Post-production training program and now works as a post-production assistant for scripted film and television. Abdul is looking to apply all the knowledge he gains from helping the industry professionals he's fortunate enough to work with to create new stories of his own.
