My latest comic for The Nib was written by my friend Mike Thompson- it’s his first published comics work! 

The Nib has been a steady source of income and a huge support to me and many other indie cartoonists for years. They publish amazing work, but will be cut loose by their financial backer in July. You can read the official post about it from editor Matt Bors here.  They are still running their kickstarter-funded print magazine, but have to put digital publishing on hiatus until they figure out their next steps. -Used Sirius’s techniques to calm himself down in case of panic attacks

-Figured out Remus was a werewolf but didn’t tell a soul

-Was super happy and proud when he found out about Sirius and Remus dating

-They have a very dark and dry humor

-They give the best gifts

According to Zeno Robinson, Hunter would avoid hugs because he knows that as soon as he gets wrapped into one, he’s going to find it so comfortable that he’ll just. Relax and immediately conk out. Just start snoozing, and that’s why Hunter tries to stay away from hugs;

okay let’s assume the hunter grimwalker theory is true, and they grow up like regular people and start as babies and all that

what if hunter grew up in like a sleeping beauty type situation? like belos just sends two scouts into the woods with a baby and is like “raise him for a couple years and train him and all that” and when he feels like hunter is old enough he sends in people to kill the scouts with wild magic and he makes it a whole act of “saving hunter” and how he’s his uncle and has “been looking for him for so long”

like emotional manipulation at it’s finest obviously, but it also provides that extra kick that makes hunter extra loyal to belos and fits with what he believes his family history to be

So I saw a post about Belos and I and noticed this:

It talks about “hearts of stone,” which reminded me of this:

As we know, a galdorstone is a powerful stone that no witch had ever gotten their hands on, and the recipe for a Grimwalker, it is used for “heart and power.”

So I love the Hunter is a Grimwalker theory, but this could bring up the idea that Belos himself is one as well, or that there’s another grimwalker somehow linked to Hunter (or Belos)

I’ve also seen a theory where Hunter was not the grimwalker, but the Ortet. The theory said that this page was only the ingredients, and that the pictures of a humanoid were marking down the process of a child’s growth. The childlike one is checked off, meaning Belos (as he had the book) is getting closer to what he wanted. So maybe Belos is using Hunter as the “host” or Ortet for his grimwalker.

I think the line “a curse of feathers and mud” applies to Belos’ curse as well as Eda’s (the mud to Belos, feathers to Eda), so maybe the “betrayal of blood” could be talking about some ancient Wittebane betrayal

THERES A CHECK THERE. WHATEVER THAT THING IN THE BOOK IS IS WHAT HUNTER IS. HE ISNT A WITCH OR A HUMAN OR A MIX HE WAS CREATED BY BELOS. BELOS IS CHECKING OFF THE STAGES OF HIS GROWTH.

IT HAS HIS EYES AND HIS NOSE EXACTLY THAT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. BELOS SAYS THE TITAN HAS BIG PLANS FOR HUNTER, HE WAS MANUFACTURED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE DAY OF UNITY.
