For The Fanfiction Ask Game, I'd Be Interested In Hearing More About "Science + Magic = Chaos"!

I drew this back in January of 2020. I was feeling in an angsty mood about Carla being in jail all alone, but then I re-watched “To Save a Sunbird” and realized that she wouldn't be alone, because this little guy is in the dungeon too. So I drew this and I felt a lot better.

Victor reminds from one of those old film Noir movies, and I just love that style of of suits and hats. I haven't done a grayscale pencil drawing in over a year, and I think this turned out very well.

Hi there, this is a Random headcanon that I had about Carla: In an episode Carla said "I can play him like a Violin" So I thought that maybe she can play the violin. what do you think?

Yes, headcanon accepted! I can picture it now, her in the carriage travelling with her father practicing it as they roll along together. Anything from a piece with a slow melodic flow to a fast-paced gig.

I've always headcanoned that Victor can play the accordion (Esteban and Elena were learning to play the guitar and he wanted to be different) And those two instruments go very well together! Even in their song “Way Back When” two of the main instruments are the accordion and the violin, so it works thematically as well.

Favorite thing about them: She's a cute little crime smol filled with determination and sass, who really loves her family.

Least favorite thing about them: That she didn't get more screen time. (Also how her child model looks, but that's not her fault).

Favorite line: “Haha, burn.”

BrOTP: Well other than her father there isn’t anyone who she's friendly enough with on-screen to really qualify, so it's headcanon time! I've been thinking about this lately and I think it would be really cute if she became friends with some of the girls who she hasn't directly betrayed like Antonia or Tomiko. Not to say that she wouldn't eventually become friends with Elena and Naomi, I just think it would be nice to see her interact with someone who she doesn't have that kind of tension with.

Unpopular opinion: It's just really shocking to me how well put together she still was after being in prison for almost a year, all alone, considering how bleak her circumstances were. We know that she disliked being alone before, but after her mom's betrayal and her dad's petrification she was truly isolated. Maybe she just has unbreakable willpower? No, I feel like SOMETHING must have happened offscreen that helped keep her sane (and that something is the dog). Not that I would have wanted her to be a complete wreck, I just wish they would have spent some time explaining what it was like for her in the dungeon, maybe showing a few scenes of her interacting with someone leading up to The Lightning Warrior.

I know you already voiced your opinion on Carzel (Carla x Marzel), but what’s your opinion on Elena x Marzel?

Elena x Marzel seems cute. They're both stubborn, they both love their families, and they both are learning how to be good rulers and doing a pretty good job so far. All the scenes with them interacting are always pretty fun, so they seem compatible. They both had their biases about each other at first, but they became good friends pretty quickly. Elena taught Marzel a lot about land stuff (and those scenes were always hilarious). Plus, he gets along with Francisco, which is an added bonus.

Politically, it probably would be beneficial? It would likely strengthen human Serena relations. Although geographically I don't think they'd be able to merge Avalor and Coronado, so they'd have to figure out which of their possible heirs would inherit each Kingdom, but that probably wouldn't be too much of an issue. I definitely don't think either one would have to move to a new location permanently. (Elena is so magical now I feel like spontaneously getting water breathing powers would be expected at this point.)

I just want Felix to be happy. (Also that one part of that one scene reminded me of Singing in the Rain, hence his pose).
