Hi! You’re the artist who drew that fun short of Victor and Ixlan called “Night on the Town”, correct? I know it was a while back, but I remember reading that you wrote a fanfic based on it? If so, could you give me a link or tell me where I can find it? I’d love to read it if you wrote it!

Hi Anon, yes you're correct, and it was really fun to make! I still definitely think that Victor & Ixlan became friends after the events of “The Lightning Warrior”. 

I think what you might be remembering is how I mentioned in that post that I had “sketches & a drawing, and a tiny fanfiction.” By “tiny fanfiction” I was referring to the four paragraphs I wrote after the sketches that describe the context of what's happening in them. I mean technically I guess it's too short to be called a “fanfiction” now that I'm thinking about it, maybe they would be considered headcanons? 

But if you want me to write a longer version of it, I might just be able to do that. When I was making the drawings I had plenty of ideas for possible stuff that could be in it if it was a longer story, I just didn't get around to writing it.

I was re-watching “A Spy in the Palace” and noticed two things which I hadn't noticed before.

First of all this is adorable.

Second of all, isn’t it weird that Victor just happened to have this picture of Queen Lucia’s tiara in his coat?

Now it doesn't seem like something that he could have just found in the palace when he went there, or gotten from someone in town. It also seems unlikely that Shuriki had it, because why would she store a picture of the tiara in some secret place to retrieve later, when she could have just done the same with tiara itself.

So my theory is that Victor drew this himself. (It would explain where Carla got her artistic talent from).

It is definitely a very good drawing (In some ways, it's more detailed  than the actual tiara)

Ha ha, yes this is excellent! Both of them just being sopping wet, doing their cute little "please let us in, we have no ulterior motives" act is iconic. (so I needed to draw them)

And their dynamic afterwards is great too. I wonder what they are trying to do...whatever it is, much daring action and hijinks are bound to ensue.

Yay requests! How about "19. high fiving" for Francisco Flores and Puss and Boots in an inexplicable crossover (pretty please)?

Frantic knocking on the door broke through the roars of the thunderstorm. Slow, shuffling steps echoed through the tick, stone walls, the air inside the old castle almost as cold as inside it. A dim candle flame wobbled and flickered, barely giving any light. By the time the sluggish steps reached the main hall, the knocking increased until the iron fittings shook along with the wood. Finally the heavy latches drew back and a violent gust of wind threw the door open.

A young man was standing on the stairs, absolutely drowning in the tempest. His sombrero, which must've been real fancy only a few hours ago, was now slumping sadly on his head, the brim overflowing with rain water. His black hair and mustache were plastered to his face, even though it must've once been carefully styled. His clothes were tugged by the wind and he was hiding something under the edge of his coat.

"Please, señor," he panted. "I have nowhere to go..."

The door started to close, but he quickly jumped in between them and lifted his coat.

"Please, I have a cat..."

A pair of green eyes, as big as saucers, peeked from under the wet fabric and the wettest, poorest, orange tabby cat meowed in a voice so heart wrenching it could make a dragon cry.

"Absolutely humiliating," Francisco scoffed as soon as the door to their room closed. He grabbed a towel and started to furiously dry his head, before throwing it on the floor and and walking over to the mirror.

"Ha! You're the one to talk, well, at least you still get to talk," Puss jumped out of the way of the falling towel and shook the water off of his fur.

"Oh don't be dramatic." Faoncisco didn't look away from the mirror, still trying to get his mustache at least a little back in shape. "You will be out of this place more than in."

"This is true," Puss answered and reached for his boots. Suddenly he started to chuckle quietly.

"What's so funny?"

"'Please, señor, I have a cat?' Really?" Puss looked up at his companion and started to now laugh out loud.

"I'm a nobleman, not an actor!" Francisco frowned at first but quickly joined him in laughter. "Although I must say, that trick of yours with the big sad eyes is really something."

"Ha! That is only one of many talents of Puss in Boots!" He bowed deeply with a proud grin on his face.

"I have to admit," he continued. "We make for a pretty good team. This mission will be a piece of cake."

"Agreed." Francisco returned the smile and reached down to high five his new friend.

Favorite thing about them: His dorky adorableness. He's always just so excited about learning new nerdy things about magic, it's so sweet.

Least favorite thing about them: That he didn't have more magic training scenes with Olivia.

Random headcanon: Not only does he not eat chocolate, but he also just doesn't like sweet foods very much in general. In social situations he'll sometimes eat them to be polite but he just prefers vegetables to fruit and bread cookies. Rafa didn't mind this and tried to only make him food that he would really enjoy, but it did become a bit of a problem once he moved into the palace and started getting Palace food. But they eventually sorted it out.

Unpopular opinion: Has anyone ever noticed that he sounds a lot like intern Carl from Phineas and Ferb?

Gabe

Favorite thing about them: His caring and compassionate leadership skills. He's in the military but he doesn't give in to apathy or toxic coolness, he cares about the people he's protecting and the people who serve under him.

Least favorite thing about them: The fact that he rarely gets a chance to use his tactical knowledge to create the plans to help save the day. Oftentimes his okay plans end up falling through and his good plans end up getting ignored.

Random headcanon: Gabe and Migs often work together in joint training exercises for the Guards and the Guardians. They have created plenty of attack patterns and battle strategies so humans and jaquins can fight together as a team in case either of their kingdoms were attacked again.

Unpopular opinion: Even though "The Gecko's Tale" was a fairly forgettable episode (because it had no song), I do wish that his fear of geckos had come up again at some point in the series. As well as his love adventuring and exploring. (It's sort of implied by the fact that he is a royal guard always protecting the kingdom and searching for bad guys, but it would have been interesting to see that pop up again in a more specific way, I mean I guess there was the time where he wanted to go to Norberg because he's never been there before...).

Hi A-Lilacsong. Can I tell you just how much I enjoyed “Encarcelado”? I have completely fallen in love with the Delgados and their animals. I also love how Victor had an honest talk with Carla about his relationship with Ash. Yet, even so, he and Carla have no idea just how dark things will get with Ash. And just how dark Ash is.

Yes! I always thought that was something that they needed to talk about. It's just so hard for each of them to talk about their problems with each other since they don't want to make each other feel bad. Plus, he was still holding back a little bit when telling her about it, but at least they covered the main bits.

Oh boy do they ever. Frankly the red flags are there, but Carla is very in denial/hopeful thing will become better. And Victor, despite everything, still cares about Ash enough not to make an effort to leave, and at this point still has a glimmer of hope that things could get better. (We even see how he reached out to give Ash a hug when she was put in the cell in The Magic Within, but she ignored him to just acknowledge Carla. He looks disappointed for a second before he starts talking to Elena and Esteban instead). Which makes her betrayal all the more heartbreaking.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s been thinking about the ramifications of Victor being a statue for a year. Victor and Ixlan missed out on so much in their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. This will probably take time to process, and they would be abl to empathize with each other in a way that everybody else wouldn’t. I like your idea of Victor and Carla developing relationships with others. For Carla, I think Naomi might be an interesting dynamic. And Elena too.

Oh definitely, I agree. I can only imagine how shocked he must have been when he learned that it hadn't just been days but months since he'd last been conscious. And we don't even know if Ixlan was unconscious the entire time she was locked away or not but she'd most likely been locked away for at least a couple hundred years so that would take some getting used to. Not to mention that Ixlan missed the deaths of all her loved ones too. Well except for the Sunbirds anyway. I guess Elena and the royal family would also be able to empathise but the problem is they do seem to have some tension with them that Victor and Ixlan wouldn't have with each other (seeing as it’s mentioned outside the show that Ixlan is a princess and that means her family used to be the royal family).

Yes, give Carla all the relationships! It would be interesting to see, considering everything, especially the whole spy in the palace thing, because we know how Naomi and Elena can both be quite forgiving so I’m sure they’d become friends, even if it takes a while. Naomi and Carla could make snarky remarks about things to each other, and I imagine that Carla could be a pretty good sparring partner for Elena.

Isabel:

Favorite thing about them: She tries to be cautious and find logical solutions to her problems. And sometimes her anxiety can overwhelm her but in the end she still carries on and succeeds.

Least favorite thing about them: The pink and yellow dress she wears as a formal dress in some of the earlier episodes, some people like it but for me the colours just really seemed to clash with each other on it.

BrOTP: Her friend group and her sister. Also Catarina.

Random headcanon: After the coronation day she starts a part time music band with Christina, Amara, Quique, and Olivia. She sings lead vocals and plays lead guitar(dion). Everyone just expected that it would be a cute little band that plays really happy songs but they surprised everyone when they instead played intense emotional ballads of angst. They were a huge hit. (Her family is concerned about this, but then she pointed out that it's her way of letting off steam as a teenager instead of doing something like overthrowing the kingdom or obsessive revenge. Esteban and Elena felt very called out but also couldn't disagree with her).

Unpopular opinion: Not so much about her personally but I believe that her first invention for moving the rocks in Class Act up the mountain (the crane) was a much better idea than just launching them at the top of the mountain. If there are any workers on top of the mountain while they are launching rocks then people could get seriously hurt, not to mention the shrapnel from the rocks splitting apart. And if they miss the shot at the top of the mountain then the rocks are going to end up flying off to who-knows-where including the town.

Favorite thing about them: She's very determined and is also a bit of a perfectionist. (Which I can relate to)

Random headcanon: One of her main hobbies is sailing and she's so good at it that she often steers the ship when her family goes out on the ocean. (She and Naomi would become fast friends if they met).

Song I associate with them: I don’t have a specific song, but if I did it would probably be a clarinet song since she can play it.

Favorite picture of them: I was looking for my screenshots of the finale and I don't know, something about this one just really stands out to me.
