I wrote about 2200 words of Meiste today while flying home from Albuquerque. Since I had no wifi to load up my google doc (peak writing setup, I know) I instead began working on Part 2 (out of how many? Not even I know!)
For the most part, I have a vague idea of the main characters, how they grow together, and where they end up, but part of the fun in writing is surprising myself in the moment. Like, today, the two characters who will wind up in a relationship by the end of the book, I wrote their introduction and first outing. It was glorious.
Random but I'm a linguistics nerd from the Southern US here: am I the only one that says /ˈfʌk.ˌal/? With the stress on the "fuck?"
Although, in these sentences, I actually pronounce "fuck all" like it's still two separate words, with the stress on both syllables, like /ˈfʌk#ˈal/.
If you know about vpns do you also know about pirating stuff? Because id need some help😞
"Fuck all" means "nothing."
There are solid piracy guides on reddit, but I'm not really the correct person to answer questions about piracy.
Yeah ok I abandoned base-30:base-7 in favor of base 7 today because it looks better.
Today was "let's all ask Lozerief about our lore" day for all of my OCs because, by this point in everyone's storylines, it's long overdue. I think Part Four is coming together alright, and I just hope to explore some more concultures here. (Namely: Atepsi, Ytos, and Northern Odapir.)

Man, I don't care about learning NatLangs any more (Mandarin, Spanish), if given the choice, I want the ability to speak everyone's a priori Naturalistic ArtLangs. (IALs be damned.)
I am begging to see any corpus of the Sekaran that has been produced so far.
The Sekaran Tales:
Currently, the Sekaran tales are a loose collection of myths and folktales about the Sekaran people and the world they inhabit. The tag also includes the Sekaran conlang. I like to say I'm in my Silmarillion phase - just laying the groundwork for what I hope will be an epic story.
Oak, Ashe, and Thorn:
Oak, Ashe, and Thorn is a planned trilogy about found family, being Othered, and the power of supportive allies. Book one, Coffee and Curses, follows the adventures of the enby empath Quin Quercus, the lesbian werewolf Ashe Thompson, and the "not a prince" Bramble Brokenthorn as they discover a insidious Fae plot to steal people's Names.
Pataphysics 101:
A sci-fi anthology set in Keystone University, where a chaotic Fae-ish scientist named Dr. Kori Cyfrin¹ teaches classes on, you guessed it, pataphysics. The anthology includes/will include both lectures and short stories, and art if I can learn to draw better.
¹Yes, it's me. This is my source - well, part of it. -Kori
While not lagging behind in terms of written content, I am definitely lagging behind in creating Modern Odapir, which is rather important for the story!
Now, there exists one word in Modern Odapir. One word. Tavishy, although this is an anglicism of the actual word. It came from Middle Odapir tabishu:, which meant 'safety, tranquility,' but also meant 'hide, conceal' when used as a verb. I haven't decided how it will be semantically changed yet.
Modern Odapir's vowels will be very cursed btw. Middle Odapir's vowels are already like... super cursed (see last post.) I'm thinking palatal sounds (j, sh, c) turn u > y, and then "disappear." (Like, j > lost, sh > h, and c > ts > s.)
Yeah and I'm gonna try to get rid of the affricates in the modern language. It creates some fun allophonic variation for the stops (e.g. p > f / [+vowel] _ [+vowel], elsewhere p, etc...) I may also have f, s > h / [+vowel] _ [+vowel].
That's all for now, amɜdáhō! (That's middle Odapir for both goodbye and hello!)
remember everyone if you google [subject] wiki and the top result is from fandom, literally scroll down like, at all. if an independent wiki exists it will almost be the second result, and it will almost always be better than the fandom wiki. a shocking number of people seem to be unaware of this technique
do you guys ever just have the most BRILLIANT of ideas randomly come to you and make you suddenly SUPER happy? >:D
Double date at the theme park! 💞🥰🎡
Requested by @anyspirit!
you really believe in that "Han Dynasty" crap?
What?
Lmao sure, you're absolutely welcome to the idea of Yessei.
Would you also like names and descriptions of the regulars that come into Yessei's shop? I wrote them down somewhere in an earlier version of It Will Hurt.
“All those centuries, and you haven’t learned how to use a cell phone?” “I am 800 years old! Unless you know how to work a 15th century printing press, you can stop laughing and show me how to do the Twitter.”
