Ok but I love this...I can't fill it out online before the game release because it would be too spoiler infested, but I want to save to my page so I hopefully remember that it exists :)

omg i didn't even look at the background i was too distracted by kage but the pixel work is so well done wtf... i love the room and the bits of mc's personality we see.... also having tumblr in the game is something i haven't seen before haha im super excited to see more updates hehe

Thank you thank you, I can't take credit for the pixel work, these are assets I paid for from 3 different artists who will be in the credits :) I just combined their tiles to design the maps and set up which ones "collide" with the player etc.

I wish I could do the pixels myself, but I would literally never finish the game if I had to make all the assets from scratch 🫠 I know you're not saying I should, that's just me justifying things to myself haha.

Plus they all did a fantastic job right? There's a plot relevant reason MC has a childish bedroom despite being an adult, and she's a very private person who doesn't normally let people in her room, so that's also gonna come up.

Tumblr in the game was something I decided to add yesterday I think? I thought some kind of social media should be included since it's a pseudo dating sim set in a sort of sci fi modern world.

Edit also if you see this edit can I get your opinion on something? Do you think I should try making Kage semi transparent in this sequence? And his hand holding the phone? I'm wondering if that would make it more clear that he's not in the room with MC (I mean I guess it will be obvious during actual gameplay, but maybe it would feel more like a "vision" if he was semi transparent)

Great motivation to keep working on my yandere boyfriend game 🩶

I am mom's spaghetti palms sweaty right now, was up into the wee hours of the morning with my game after realizing One Drive (Microsoft's "helpful" cloud syncing it pushes) was autosyncing all my game files (and other less important files) while I had them open working on them :')

I'll spare everyone the details of why that's bad but the tldr is it almost corrupted my whole game, but I fixed it and only lost some very basic formatting (in game menu adjustments and the font settings, which I am replacing anyway with something more readable). And a few small edits to some json files which again are easy to redo.

I already back up my game to a flash drive (yeah, I know I need to get Github) so I've banished One Drive from my desktop since there's no reason for it to be there.

Definitely don't recommend allowing One Drive to autosync files while you are actively working in any kind of database. Unfortunate that I didn't realize this was happening until it started giving me all these issues!

Hi everyone who's still here following this game development...really sorry that I fell off the radar for a while there. I'm not even sure how long it's been. I've been dealing with a pretty heavy family crisis/loss/grief lately and didn't have it in me for a while to do much else. I think I'm ready to start working on the game a bit.

I've added a zoo map here, including a version for spring (shown), summer, and autumn (zoo is closed in winter). I'm also working on a little lottery scratch off thing in the game. Sorry again to go so silent. Things were pretty dark for a while but I'm starting to feel better.
